Halo... it's just another FPS... get over it.
I also dislike WoW... why would I pay a monthly fee to sell my life away. :/

Ah but Halo defined the FPS genre in the original xbox. So at that point not another fps. But I do agree its just another fps with every halo this gen though.

me and the zelda games just dont seem to gel, super mario gallaxy too.

Having been a FPS player since playing Doom on my dad's 486, Halo was a watered down, lame version for the masses. Remember when Metallica sold out and they started to suck? That's what Halo did, they sold out the FPS.

I disagree, It had an epic story, amazing graphics ( for the time) the multi-player was outstanding. Smart enemies( for the time ) use of vehicles. I still remember the first time I was in control of the warthog. Mate on the back firing away at the covenant. The rechargeable health system which is mainstay in most FPS now. Plus you could chuck a grenade out or melee without changing weapon( big deal back then) And the 2 person campaign co-op.
The gameplay was fast and frantic. amazing baddies. cool weapons and an amazing soundtrack. It popularised the genre.
I would say that after half-life 2. Its my favourite FPS
Speaking of Cod, that's another game that I can see is good but i dislike. I do love the battlefield series though.

Most people can't get into CoD because they suck at it. I used to be sceptical of the series until I played world at war, after that I've just played every one since and It's honestly the best online shooter you can play.

I am not great at it, but don't suck at it either. MY kill death ratio is usually 15/16 to 3/4. The cheapness annoys me in COD, dying as soon as you spawn due to killstreaks, double shotgun camping, those idiots who spin around and try and shoot you. I did love the spec ops mode in MW2 though.

Lol It's not bad when you are the one getting attack dogs and chopper gunners  Double shotguns aren't a problem really in black ops. The only major gripe I have, is that it DOES encourage camping.
I agree it is cheap at times, the fact that you can tomahawk someone across the map is pretty lame, but then again in halo you can melee an opponent at the same time they do to you, and you both die? WTF. That's all I remember from playing it. Constantly getting melee'd and then meleeing the other guy at the exact same time. It's retarded.
All games have their flaws, but generally I don't see halo as anything special, or better in any area over another game.

Nowadays Halo is pretty average. Only unique thing it has is forge mode. but back in 2001 it was a masterpiece
