So, I may very well may be dropping a few pounds without even trying. I guess I'll know for certain in a few hours. Yogurt is usually good way past the expiration date. My goal is to be far along enough recovering from knee surgery that I can walk normally by the end of the month, and not put any weight back on. I haven't put any weight back on so far (+/- a few pounds). I haven't quit the cane yet, but my fixed knee is improving and I don't use it all the time. Imma start working on weight loss as soon as I get cleared for real exercise.
I'm 100% on board with extending this out, since it does seem like 1 month's worth of goals is really too short a time to achieve much. This way, you can take your time recovering. What I'll do is we will stick with this month's goals. Then, I'll start a thread again next month for people who weren't at a good starting point this month, and for people who wanted to continue with their goals. It's going to take awhile for me to meet mine, so I'll be around next month too, at least.
I haven't updated this much but here goes. The first week wasn't too good, but we had ridiculous weather (rain, storms, etc.) and then I was busy with a lot of work.
However on Sunday I ran twice. Once for 0.63 miles (in 4 m 56s) and later in the day for 1.06 miles (in 9m 11s). Then on Monday I ran 1.03 miles in 9m 17s.
Yeah I've had a rough start to the month fitness-wise. Dammmmmm I've been so busy but I've got to MAKE TIME for healthiness!

Don't worry, my friend. If this be the end, then so shall it be. RE: AF Biggest Loser/Fitness Challenge-April 1 to May 1

When I was really hungry it was satisfying to sit down with a huge portion and eat until I felt full. But now I know I will soon not feel hungry after eating a modest portion. Even if I go too long between meals and get light headed and empty feeling, the hunger will soon dissipate after eating a recommended portion. I won't feel uncomfortably full but is that really such a loss? Eating slower helps too so that the feeling of no longer being hungry has a chance to register before you over eat. Breakfast today - same as always, a cup of cooked steel cut oatmeal and killer fruit with walnuts. Lunch today - two thin slices of Dave's killer seeded bread, TJ's curried chicken salad, mustard, cheese and two sandwich slices of bread and butter pickles along a with a Snyder's lunch pack of pretzels and a diet coke. Cup of tea with cookies count so far: 2 Dinner - leaning toward a half a TJ's Eda Mame and Kale salad and a tamale. For dessert a mango mochi of course. Have you tried splitting your allowed calories between four meals, or having a healthyish filling snack that isn't cookies?
I have to split my meals up to four or five snackish meals. I can't go long without food. Ha!

That was actually a ProTip shared by a uni student I knew through my PT to improve metabolism. Get the body always burning something, I guess.
Pizza party at SDSU women's tennis vs. Fresno State tomorrow. 2pm. Odd hour to be eating. Gonna have to see if I can hold off to a very late breakfast, so I don't need to do lunch right at noon, then lunch, part deux, at two.
