I don't think that the MOAB killed anyone.

I prefer to reserve my sympathy for those who merit it. IS does not meet that standard.

Two MOABs were dropped during development of the weapon at Eglin AFB on the beautiful Florida Emerald Coast. Our government has plenty of places a lot more remote than that to conduct similar teats.

There is no contractor. The total inventory of 15 GBU-43/B bombs was manufactured at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant at a per unit cost of $170,000. The whole program cost $2,550,000. The plant is government-owned and government-operated.

They are sick psychopaths, but they are still human beings, and so unlike you, I do care about them; they have wives and children, also, and are not entirely responsible for their actions, having been brainwashed into a sick, pathological religion.  If they had been born elsewhere, they would have been completely different.

But, I digress....another contradiction (and, at this point, I am speaking to everyone, not just to you) -- the Afghans claimed to have "recovered bodies" (exact quote); but, if they were buried alive, how in the world could such a recovery operation have taken place so quickly?  And, then, in an active war zone?  I think that anyone who believes what the Afghans are saying needs to remove the wool.

Why do you think everybody there was inside the mines? Because it's another lame attempt to keep your line of bullshit going? Well, you failed again.

Funny how some people are trying to make ISIS terrorists out as the victims here.  Wink

Rather expensive munition for killing so few. Used over an urban area, it would be devastating.

Is that all we're doing to IS?

Yet again, the point was to deny the munitions to ISIS. The bomb collapsed the mine entrances. Heavy equipment would be needed to get in there now. The shattered corpses on the ground outside were just a bonus.

I have continued to follow this news story and have seen some rubble but no "dead bodies".  Please do not post pics, if you have them, but certainly do post links to news stories that document that any members of ISIS were killed:

From what I have seen, little children are now playing in the rubble from the blast, and so, if there were any people killed, they could have been innocent civilians.

Sure, it's a big bomb, collateral damage is a possibility.  The official line from centcom was/is:

Quote:U.S. Forces took every precaution to avoid civilian casualties with this strike.

There -are- reports that some civilian casualties were or may have been incurred.  Individual reports, and the destruction of some houses a few miles away which may have been occupied at the time.

I remember why Gaddafi was killed; his body was put on display and was treated according to Muslim death rituals (washing, anointing, etc.)  These ISIS terrorists were Muslim (of course!), and even Bin Laden got a Muslim burial.  Are the Afghans going to do that here?  If so, when and where?

I don't think so. You have a citation for that? Islam allows burial at sea under specific and extraordinary circumstances none of which applied here. I doubt even further than any burial by infidels is going to be accepted as Islamic.
