I remember why Gaddafi was killed; his body was put on display and was treated according to Muslim death rituals (washing, anointing, etc.) These ISIS terrorists were Muslim (of course!), and even Bin Laden got a Muslim burial. Are the Afghans going to do that here? If so, when and where?
I'm certain you haven't looked yourself. If you want me to look I have an schedule of hourly rates for you to inspect.

Sea burial of Osama bin Laden breaks sharia law, say Muslim scholars
Quote:Mohammed al-Qubaisi, Dubai's grand mufti, said of Bin Laden's burial: "They can say they buried him at sea, but they cannot say they did it according to Islam. Sea burials are permissible for Muslims in extraordinary circumstances. This is not one of them."
Quote:Abdul-Sattar al-Janabi, who preaches at Baghdad's Abu Hanifa mosque, said: "What was done by the Americans is forbidden by Islam and might provoke some Muslims.
"It is not acceptable and it is almost a crime to throw the body of a Muslim man into the sea. The body of Bin Laden should have been handed over to his family to look for a country to bury him."
Quote:The radical Lebanon-based cleric Omar Bakri Mohammed said: "The Americans want to humiliate Muslims through this burial, and I don't think this is in the interest of the US administration."

I remember seeing Gaddafi's body on the news; it was being treated with respect according to Islamic tradition, as far as I could tell.

Pictures exist of bin Laden's corpse, but I do remember the controversy of his remains being buried at sea. I do recall that he did get a Muslim "service" before being dumped into the ocean, but yes, America screwed-up again on this one! He should have been buried in accordance with Islamic law & tradition. No sense in the US shaking-up a hornet's nest, as occurred when that serviceman tossed a copy of the Quran into the garbage. By the way, what the US needs is an atheist President who is respectful of religion, while privately (but knowingly) believing that all of them are bullshit, whether stirred clockwise or counter-clockwise.

I have seen the pictures. He was given half of an Islamic funeral, basically - washing and shrouding the body - but as the scholars said, the funeral didn't fully meet Islamic requirements. I couldn't care less. He was a terrorist and didn't even deserve a decent burial like that.

Is that all we're doing to IS?
Military efficiency is not really measured by body counts.

And, as most of the universe will tell us, the KIA was just a bonus. The point was to take out the weapons storage they had in those mines.

Exactly. The Kriegsmarine wasn't trying to kill sailors, either -- the cargo was much more valuable.
Try explaining that on the Internet, though.

I think it's really beside the point. The whole idea of this is to show everyone that we are now the "Not fucking around" crew.
“Love is the only bow on Life’s dark cloud. It is the morning and the evening star. It shines upon the babe, and sheds its radiance on the quiet tomb. It is the mother of art, inspirer of poet, patriot and philosopher.
It is the air and light of every heart – builder of every home, kindler of every fire on every hearth. It was the first to dream of immortality. It fills the world with melody – for music is the voice of love.
Love is the magician, the enchanter, that changes worthless things to Joy, and makes royal kings and queens of common clay. It is the perfume of that wondrous flower, the heart, and without that sacred passion, that divine swoon, we are less than beasts; but with it, earth is heaven, and we are gods.” - Robert. G. Ingersoll

Bullshit. We hurt ISIS bad with one bomb. Of course if your entire mindset is USBAD then there's no point discussing this with you.
