I really want Bill Maher to do another Religulous movie to expose "Christian white power racist. The truth from Muslims themselves about their beliefs, including sharia law. I was a born-again christian for many years then I got woke.. and now life is better in so many ways. It's taking me time to see my value and find my voice, but the reward is liberating knowing my path is not dictated or controlled by fear of death and the unknown. Casting off the shackles of religion is pretty fucking awesome. The beautiful people I've met on this forum have more heart and compassion than any group of people I've been apart of. So back off Jesus and followers, because this bitch is done with Chu.

We have strange priorities about what is and isn't acceptable. I didn't watch the video, and don't know if he called someone a nigger, or just used the word nigger in a different context, but odds are it's the latter. We have more important things to worry about than what words people use. Though I will grant that nigger is a word with a lot of bad history behind it, that is still going on today.

Some one on the show said something like, 'Bill, you can come work in the fields with us' and Maher replied, 'Work in the fields? I'm a house nigger.' 'House nigger' is a reference to slaves who worked in the house (duh) as maids, cleaners, cooks and such. I have trouble seeing Maher's use of the word in this context as anything approaching racism. I don't see why the fuck he should get a pass for his bullshit. If it were the same context said by someone like Sean Hannity or Alex Jones, they wouldn't get a fucking pass. So neither should Bill Maher.
Dr. Laura lost her syndication network on her use of 'nigger' and wound up on Sirius/XM.
And while she was complaining her First Amendment rights were being violated by the outcry, she refused to understand the outcry was also occurring under the protection of the First Amendment. I didn't think much of her before, and that didn't help . . . The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

I only use the word around friends who are ok with it, but I still don't think Bill should have apologized. Rappers made the word cool so they are to blame when white people use the word in a non-racist way. The majority of these rappers fanbases are white people, so you can't exactly be shocked when they embrace parts of the culture or language. It's just going to happen.
