Difference is that one guy is not lying and the other guy is. Considering the behavior of Trump, I think it doesn't take a slide rule to or a 1rst grader to figure it out.

Given the fact that you haven't (to my knowledge) worked in a bureaucracy or corporate structure, your incomplete understanding of what was being conveyed is understandable.

To a diligent employee in either context, Trump's meaning was perfectly clear.

Considering that comey totally ignored him anyway, I doubt it.

The denseness is strong with this one.

Comey didn't totally ignore him, though. What Comey did was analyze his own responsibilities required by law, and filter the President's instructions through that.

Do you honestly think that orders from above are paramount? Do you honestly think that there is no higher responsibility? Shit, even as an Airman Basic in Basic Training, I was instructed to refuse illegal orders, and to place the law of the land above the officers appointed above me. We had a two-day class on that sort of personal responsibility.

What Trump instructed was clearly, as shown by his after-the-fact termination of Comey for not following his wishes, not in line with the rule of law.

If you're okay with that, great, I guess. But I don't agree with that crap.

I'm curious if you anti-trump folks view yourselves as being objective when looking at this stuff?

Is that how you view your own thinking?

My thinking is reasonable to the degree that I understand and know Trump to be an idiot who is destroying this country.

I can still love this country while abhorring the man in charge, especially when he has shown himself to be the anti-thesis to greatness.

Kind of a straw man with the rage, and all. We're not all like that. I see a bumbling fool, a carnival huckster, a doddering old man with no clue as to how a government is run, shambling around the world alienating our allies. I see stupid antics, which his fellows try to mitigate with comments like "He doesn't know that that is unlawful", in re Comey. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. If the Chump were pushing a shopping cart down 6th Street in LA, and acted like he does, he'd be in an involuntary psychiatric hold. The level of discourse is about the same. But, he has a lot of money, so now he's president. Rolleyes

You people love listing fallacies.  It was just a hyperbole for humors sake.  Although I think the caricature isn't so far from the mean that it loses the point.

Let me rephrase.  Hypothetically, let's say Trump did something correct, but it required some nuanced or non-intuitive thinking to recognize that it was correct, do you think you'd be able to get past your opinion of him as 'a bumbling fool, a carnival...' to reach that conclusion?

RE: Comey Testimony
It's too bad we can't just start working together to actually get this countries economy going. The Russia collusion is simply false. No evidence has or will come out. Did Russia hack anything sure. We hack Russia all the time. Did it effect the election, or switch any votes? No, and Comey admitted as much. The dems are making a big deal out of all things Russia. Talking to Russia is not a crime, but when the DNC is putting this idea in the minds of the masses, you can see how people are flipping out. It all comes down to perspective. The dems talked to Russia, but they don't want you to know that. They talk to the ambassador, and it's not a crime to talk to the ambassador of Russia. This is just a huge nothing burger with extra bull shit and a side of sour grapes. The DNC doesn't want progress, they want tranny bathrooms, and for white people to shut up so black people have safe spaces. The DNC is a mess, and they are going to pay for this by losing votes going forward. They are doing nothing but focusing on Russia, and it's getting old. There is so many things that are going unnoticed because the news coverage is all things Russia.

I'm a political atheist, but can't stand the DNC. Not a rich guy, so I would think they would want to do more to help, but it's a party of misfits. At least Trump just wants to build the economy. I came to the conclusion the DNC wants people poor and downtrodden so they continue to vote democrat. I gave up on the DNC years ago. Not that the RNC is much better, but this is becoming a huge joke, and people are getting tired of it.

I say we start investigating the Clintons. Lets investigate the DNC relations to Russia. Afterall, the left seems more in line with the soviets of old and communism.

Here's ex KGB Yuri Bezmenov talking about how they infiltrated the America left and academia to subvert the beliefs of Americans through ideological subversion, and here we are with the modern day left who adopted the ideology, and suddenly say Trump is a Russian agent. The irony is truly amazing. The only thing more ironic is how Antifa goes around calling everyone fascists lol

Yea too bad we cant get rid of the GOP whom for 36 years have protected the Wall Street casino and tax breaks for the rich. Too bad we have a asshole GOP who thinks "die quickly" is a health care plan. Too bad their supporters are too stupid to see the short term profits at the top will add up to a future Bush Jr Bubble again.
