Scattershot sentence punctuation is problematical.

My count is not that large by a long shot, but I've lived in countries that were sullen-to-hostile towards us and not once did I experience personal disrespect. The folks where I was understood the difference between my nation's history and my own outlook.
I still understand why they shake a fist at us in many cases, but they never once shook a fist at me.

I mean, seriously. we elected Donald Trump as the president.
We. Elected. Donald. Trump. As. The. PRESIDENT.
I didn't. And neither did a majority of American voters.
I refuse to bear that guilt, even as I have to deal with the fallout of his election.
Another president with an asterisk by his name.

I refuse to bear that guilt, even as I have to deal with the fallout of his election. Doesn't matter. He was elected. Via the shenanigans of the Grim Old Party. They don't respect the country enough to allow honest elections.

I said the only thing about America (implying the subject matter being events related to America in the category international relations ) was Trump saying those things .
Just like if I said the only thing about Canada under the same conditions would be Justin selling weapons to the Saudi's
America or Canada being sub categories( Trump being in the Category America) not a generalization about Americans .

Many Americans tend to have this selfish attitude that everything revolves around us and that everyone else should do as we say. And here it is, all displayed in this single comment left by some moron on TheHill.com story about North Korea.
So what would you do if North Korea dropped a couple of nukes on America?

Not by me. If others elsewhere want to practice sloppy thinking and broadbrushing, great. But it's not my duty to accept it as a judgement. If you're comfortable owning it, do so in my stead, thankyouverymuch.
Me, I'll speak for myself. I didn't vote for the man, I detest most of his positions, and I have nothing but contempt for his outlook. If someone wants to judge me on the basis of another person's vote, why am I obligated to accept that when I did what I could to prevent his presidency?

Then why be pissed at America, which is what you wrote? Let me put this in chart form
The subject - International relations
The sub category - America(persons in or related to America)
The sub category of that- comments by Donald Trump (Person in and related to America)
The sub category of that - His(Trumps) idea that the world owes America (comments by a person in and related to America)
