Then you're making a category error, being pissed at America when you're really pissed at Trump. You may or may not realize this, but Trump is not America.

No Trump is not America . I'm angry at Trump who just happens to be inside American .
Let's Try another Example
Subject -Desserts
Sub Category -America
Sub Category -New York Cheese Cake (A object inside or related to America )
Sub Category -Causes heart attacks
Sub Category - New York Cheese Cake causing heart attacks
I'm not blaming America for New York Cheese Cake Causing Heart attacks . I'm blaming an Object that happens to be American for causing heart attacks.
Let's relate this to my original comment
Frankly the only thing that has pissed me off about(A person who is American) America recently . Is Trumps-(The person who is in Category America. Or is an American and the action of said person in the category America) arrogance that the world owes America . Or somehow America is at disadvantage . Or that America deserves gratitude . That pisses me off .(This in no way saying that this is America as a whole holds this position. But a person within the Category does. Thus not assigning blame to everything in the category America merely pointing out that someone did )
We would never think that way . At no point have we every assumed the world should be grateful to us

Many Americans tend to have this selfish attitude that everything revolves around us and that everyone else should do as we say. And here it is, all displayed in this single comment left by some moron on TheHill.com story about North Korea.
So what would you do if North Korea dropped a couple of nukes on America?
Take down their government with conventional weapons and as little loss of life as possible. Nuking them back might take care of the problem, until China decides they don't like that fallout dirtying up the countryside. After that, as we did in Europe and Japan, help them re-build. Then help bring their people into the 21st century. A prosperous North Korea, or a unified Korea, would be a far better thing for the world at large than a glow-in-the-dark North Korea.

Yes, I already read this, and this is where you're making a category error. A person who is American pissing you off is not a reason to be pissed off about America. It is a reason to be pissed off about the person.
If you're pissed off at a person, write that you're pissed off at that person. Write what you mean. It's really very simple once you get the hang of it.

Yes. And the sheer number of people willing to vote for him. There are a lot of people in the country who support him. Yes, it was not the majority, but it was still enough.

Not by me. If others elsewhere want to practice sloppy thinking and broadbrushing, great. But it's not my duty to accept it as a judgement. If you're comfortable owning it, do so in my stead, thankyouverymuch.
Me, I'll speak for myself. I didn't vote for the man, I detest most of his positions, and I have nothing but contempt for his outlook. If someone wants to judge me on the basis of another person's vote, why am I obligated to accept that when I did what I could to prevent his presidency? The only reason we are obligated is because he's the president, and currently sits in the oval office. I think it sucks just as much as you do. There are huge numbers of disenfranchised in this country now. I don't want it to be so, but it is so.
The fact remains though, that he is there. Gerrymandering, majority voters, etc, all of that doesn't matter because he's there.
It WILL matter next election. But until then, we're fucking powerless. This is what other nations see.

None of that means that I'm obligated to accept the blame for his presidency. I didn't vote for him.

When there's nonsense being mentioned about being responsible for one's country... these two quotes do spring to mind:

I can't read the Carlin quote (on my phone, too small), but if it's his old "I didn't vote" routine, I don't agree.
