Quote:"Equifax, a company that provides credit scores, said on Thursday that the personal information of 143 million people may have been accessed by hackers.
The details potentially accessed by hackers between mid-May and July
include names, social security numbers, some credit card numbers and personal documents. "

Me also. The one article says their site is being over loaded. We should have gotten a yes or no answer.

What are the odds that Congress is going to investigate this breach? That data shouldn't be available unmasked, let alone in bulk. PII and payment card numbers stored as plaintext is a huge security problem.

Well, I tried it again and just got "Your enrollment date (for the free credit monitoring) is........" for the third time.
I'm thinking that's their subtle way of saying yes, your data was hacked.

I'll bet the tort lawyers are drooling down their $300 ties at the settlement they could get with 143
million clients.
