I posed a question for these flag loving Trumpsters and they did not like it

With all this National Anthem khoas and people getting upset because someone is kneeling I brought something up to these people. What I brought up was the following: What if it was against my religion to idol worship? In a way to some standing for a piece of cloth is considered idol worship so what if that person wanted to kneel in the name of their religious beliefs?
After all, isn't the far right for freedom of religion and believe strongly that it shouldn't be infringed on? Well guess what boys and girls!? They did not take to kindly to this. Some of the responses I got were that it's not idol worship or that standing for the flag and "Respecting" it is a must no matter your religious beliefs.
Hmmm now maybe I'm just some moron, but this sounds really really familiar. It's right at the tip of my tongue and it rhymes with moxy.
If I didn't know any better it would seem these people's religion is extreme nationalism and they would like to live in a theoracy that's not only extremly right wing Christian, however one that forces you to stand for the anthem/flag with the threat of the death or execution. Thankfully these people don't have their way 100%, yet.
