RE: What would you do if you found out God existed

If your experience of people is about them being horrible and treacherous, the problem might not be with them. Just saying.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Think of all of the people who joined together to stone gays so that god wouldn't be angry at them?

"Me and my people" is a historically fluid term. It expands and contracts.....but I doubt that there's ever been a time in our history that the designation has encompassed so many disparate people as it does today. Those trumpstyers, till "my people"..it just so happens that I have a cousin I'm embarrassed of. I think we've all got a cousin like that. As regards those embarrassing cousins...I don;t worry that the ultimate fate of humanity lies with them.

And I know that the different tribes living there gave the Romans hell. Normandy is linked to WW2 in my head.
Once he consolidated his rule, a dozen years after arriving - 1066 and all that - the literal original William in this country took the epithet "The Conquerer".
As for Celtic music, you're probably thinking of Enya.
My interest in Britain's history is related mostly to the Medieval section: the times of the war with France. Battles like "Agincourt": the French knights got their asses kicked, and warfare turned to be more about "Marksmanship" than to be about "Hand to hand".
That time of history; I think Europe began to pull the rag from underneath the Islamic newborn civilizations.
My adoring to Enya began with LOTR, so yes, pretty much a green plain, the Shire, an Elvan lady singing Enya's songs.

Try some Máire (or Moya) Brennan, late of Clannad and Enya's sister.

OMG. I didn't know Enya had a sister; heard a couple of tracks (I Will Find You-Dreams are more precious),the latter has that same soothing feeling that Titanic's main song is giving me. So peaceful. Discovering "Clanned" right now; its vocalist just seems amazing

Evil has a tendency to consume itself.
Seeing the goodness is one thing; expecting it is totally different. It so many different variables (including when; what the state of fortune the person has...etc)..
In other words; expecting to grow a garden in the trenches of WW1 is a very optimistic thinking and somehow gullible.
Bad habits ruin unification and make it a very temporary matter. Yes; believers in evil might unify to do an ugly crime; but if gays were stoned today; the rest of the crowed will stone each other when the gays are all dead.
Once a self-righteous prick always a self-righteous prick.
Exactly ! evil consume evil; but if good people didn't do a thing; it will consume them before it consumes itself.

Atlas officially hijacked my thread lol.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

At least Atlas is stable.
If it had been MK I suspect some of the hostages would have been killed by now...

I'm watching a documentary about lady gaga right now. She's such a weirdo lol. I don't get these right brained artsy people.
