Mercy, in your book, to rip a page right out of the field manual:
It's context. Mercy, to your god, appears to be either a swift death or an eternity of servitude.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

A humble man avoids making fantastic claims to hidden knowledge.

Apparently it is hidden knowledge, we look and see abject cruelty and injustice. You look and there are butterflies leaping off the page skipping down candied roads with giant plush teddies. Maybe it's in the margins?

I love that conclusion, the very difference is our abject perception and understanding of the same thing. Not a half full or half empty idea but a knowledge of justification through this great difference. A view of life and acceptance of what is true that ripples through every action. This defines us, not the thing itself but what the thing represents. Is this choice or ignorance? Should we all be conformed to one idea? Do you think it is injustice to know that a criminal for sure will commit a crime again if let off the hook and so you eliminate his presence for it will always be evil?

The differences between us wouldn't have any bearing if you would stop claiming an absolute cosmic truth. I alone make this argument invalid ( an argument further complicated by anyone who disagrees with us both).
