The brain is made of matter while the consciousness is an abstract entity.
You can kill something made of matter but you can not kill something abstract.

They are inseparable and they are behind destruction.
The brain is the vehicle and the consciousness is the driver.
When your vehicle die all you do is to get a new vehicle.
Why should you die?  

How can the consciousness be a product of the brain?
Have you ever seen a driver that is a product of the car?

Consciousness isn't an abstract entity, that is were you go wrong , even if it is energy , it still raises from the brain and after the brain is dead there may be some remanent energy but that will fade to. There is nothing to support your clam that conscioussnes isn't a product of the brain.
And btw , your analogy is wrong , the brain is the driver.

1) If consciousness isn't an abstract entity that try to touch it, smell it, hear it and see it.

What you said is so manifest, and is proven, and in my case, if I didn't believe in that, and I saw no division between the mind and me, I would have never overcame the negatives symptoms of schizophrenia, bipolar, and adhd.

I am doing well in school still, and I will graduate and achieve in life, and I will finish my computer science degree, but my goal in all that, has little do with those achievement for their sake, but over arching purpose which I will fulfill as I set do to what I set myself out to do.

Those who see will see, and those who close their eyes, will close their eyes.
