You came to me needing a consultation 6 months ago and I told you that you needed to lose weight before you were eligible for surgery.

Instead you put on nearly half again what I told you to lose.

Do you want to die? Is my accent getting in the way of the instructions? Or are you just too stupid yo look after yourself?

Quality vs quantity. Sounds like this one is opting out of both.

Aussie, not Kiwi.
Although she's from down south so it's probably upper class Aussie. :-)

It's getting difficult becoming this new person. I'm starting to hate my own family and friends. I know I should try to show them how close minded they are and try to help them be better people but all it does is make me angry to see someone I love say something so against what I feel so strongly about.

CIJS- all I did was ask you to help. I never asked you to do everything which is what you seem to be implying as you skirt your way around letting me know you’re not going to do anything. All you do is fucking nothing all the time, you really can’t get off your ass and help at all? Not even in an emergency like this? You’re so useless.

CIJS - grief is one of those things that takes over, when you least expect it. Or when you think you're over it. It laughs and says ''ha ha, I'm not done with you!'' It consumes and steam rolls over everyone...no matter one's faith...no matter one's culture...it is one of those things that deals with you. I guess the trick is to deal with it, but how? No one is safe from grief, no matter how hardened or tough you think you are...it will come your way. It came my way today, and I cried because that's all one can do.

It gets better. Time is the most effective balm, as well as not dwelling on it too much. You can fall down a rabbit hole with that dwelling business. I see you are remembering your grandmother and how much you enjoyed each other's company. That has to help, a lot. I would like to comment that both you and J A C K have writing styles that are very nice. You two ought to get together and write some really nice prose. :yup:
