"Alone is what I have. Alone protects me."
“I may be on the side of the angels but don’t think for one second that I am one of them.” “The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existence. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery each day." (April 17, 2018 at 1:49 pm)Losty Wrote: CIJS- 💔 I fix broken hearts for a living. How can I tell whether or not a long distance relat'ship is worth pursuing

When my husband and I first met and started dating, he was 19 and I was 20, and he went to school 4 hours plane ride away. Across the country. This is how it was for the first 2 years of our relationship. The reason we both perused the relationship is because we saw a lot of values in each other that we could see in a future spouse. If you can't see yourself marrying the peraon someday, there is no reason to be in a long distance relationship.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

I think long distance relationships can help clarify and solidify the non-superficial aspects of a relationship. Just my two cents worth.
