. . . there have been a thousand that seem to not have registered with the likes of Pelosi, Schumer, Perez, Wasserman-Shultz, and a raft of other party poohbahs. I'm hoping the fog lifts a bit for 2018.
It's REALLY important this time. So far, just relying on the conventional wisdom the party in power always loses seats in an off year election seems rather tepid and passive strategy compared to energized fund raising, selecting good candidates, and encouraging them to run taut, efficient campaigns. But what do I know . . . The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
Funny. I got a questionnaire from the Democratic Party yesterday asking me to rate my preferences for President next time. Right off the bat it started with Biden, Warren, Sanders, and Al Gore before finally mentioning Kamala Harris and Cory Booker.
I told them to stop with these old war horses and let the primary process pick someone younger and more dynamic. Sadly, 2016 has taught us that elections are not about policy any more. They are about personalities. The policies follow the party that wins. And independents should get off the fucking fence and join one or the other so they can have some input into the nomination process. RE: This is Why Republicunts Have To Go

What policies are Kamala and Corey pushing that you think makes them better than Sanders and Warren? Independents, making up half the country, can't jump on board with the dems, because they aren't for much of anything. The last guy that ran who inspired them in 2016 got shafted by a rigged election.

I just finished saying that in this country in 2016 we learned that policy DOES NOT MATTER. What matters is the personality at the top. We got a hint of that in 2008 when Obama trounced McCain on a wave of enthusiasm but 2016 rammed the point home.
And stop with the Bernie bullshit. He fucked himself. Do try to remember that he got trounced by about the worst campaigner this country has seen since Alf Landon. Hillary couldn't mathematically eliminate a guy while she ran the DNC. and no, the Burn is not going to stop. You're right about one thing. The DNC doesn't care about policy, but I am glad that they at least put Bernie high up on that list of contenders to vote for.

Almost won? She beat him by 3.7 million votes in the states which actually had primaries. That was more than she beat the WLB by. She beat him by 400 delegates before the superdelegates were even factored in. What are you going to tell me next? That Trump is almost honest? Give it up already. Your boy got his ass kicked by a boring candidate. RE: This is Why Republicunts Have To Go

But he lost unfairly, and we shouldn't forget that. It's not like this was a fair fight, and Bernie just couldn't cut it? When was the last time everyone got really motivated to vote for someone running in the democratic party? Like you keep wanting people to do.

Anyone remember that episode of The Twilight Zone about that six-year-old boy who kept a small Ohio town on its knees, punishing it on a whim, and how everyone kept saying it was a good thing because if they complained, he'd make everything worse?
Well... (read the following paragraph in your best Rod Serling impression): Submitted for your approval, a new variation on the same theme from an older episode, this time, instead of a boy of six with godlike powers and no idea how to use them properly, an orangutan with a bottomless bank account and all the political finesse of a second-rate wrestling heel, now inhabiting the highest office in our land, and instead of a populace too terrified to do anything but go along with it, a political party who have become deranged enough that they don't even need to pretend they approve, but go along with it gladly. A political fever dream now made a cold hard reality, in The Twilight Zone. Also, while looking for a video of that episode, I found this: Evidently, he did not realise that the protagonist of that episode is in his own self-inflicted Hell.
