Nope, haven't lost me.  I am a farmer and do not  have "regular" work hours.  Sorry.  But, I have read all the post from people and I really do appreciate the responses.  I have taken a few jabs here from some, but thanks for the honesty.   However, family comes first in the evenings if I have had a long day.   I will stay in touch and I definitely will get to those PM questions.

Yeah there are a few rude people here but that is to be expected because every group has assholes in it and we are not excluded from that and we get a lot of drive by "I'm doing research" threads from the religious that either are here to convert us secretly or disappear after the one thread so a lot of people stop trying with new to the site Christians until they prove they are here for real conversations. If you just ignore the rude comments and stick around you will find a lot of us like to discuss things in a sensible way.

Yes, and I hope our new member will believe me when I say even some of our regular believers like to discuss things openly (looking especially at you C_L) while others are unrepentant assholes (looking at you Drichy boy).

The other problem some theists have here, is that even though many here can be a bit rude, we are still making valid points or refutations.

But some theists get upset at profanity used in a post, and tend to ignore the actual valid points being made.

I go out of my way to avoid rudeness and profanity for this exact reason, so theist have no excuse to avoid my actual points, by claiming my post is profane.

After some of the unwarranted comments here in this thread alone I too would have a problem. If someone just came onto my thread cursing at me and calling all my thoughts stupid I wouldn't stop and listen to them either. That's why I always try to be nice first not so they won't have an excuse but because we are all humans and deserve it.

On the flip side, we've often encountered theists of various stripes who have come here under a banner of peace and mutual understanding, only to want to simply preach at us or attempt to (re)convert us.

My own warning signals flared with the OP for both his religious views only tangentially matching what he claimed, and then the "Have you never considered the truth?" BS he tried to pull. Maybe he's truly someone who cannot fathom why one would be an atheist and truly wants to know, but that little rhetorical probe is exactly what those looking to snag a new sheep for the flock do: prey on the self-doubts of the weak-minded.

I, personally, have a very low tolerance for those who lie for Jesus. And, so far, most of the signals the OP is throwing are those of disingenuousness.
