DNA Proves Existence of a Designer

I don't believe there is any proof for it.  I don't believe man descended from apes either.

You're right, there is no proof of a mechanism that would keep 'microevolutionary changes' from accumulating into 'macroevolutionary changes'. If there is such a thing, whoever discovered it would earn a well-deserved Nobel Prize. In the meantime, asserting that microevolutionary change can't accumulate into macroevolutionary change over more time is akin to claiming that we ought to doubt that a person who can walk ten miles in a day can walk thousands of miles in a year.

CDF47 Wrote:It is the information problem that needs to be addressed here.  The snowflake is just an inanimate object.  Living systems contain such complex and specific information it boggles the mind.

The page of a book is an inanimate object. What does the animation or lack thereof have to do with whether something can have information?

Ah right I misunderstood CDF47. I thought he was saying that he doesn't believe in micro-evolution. Which confused me as he was the one that brought it up and seemed to imply that he did believe in it.

Duh lol.

I don't think it's possible to rationally believe in God if by "God" we mean "a being outside the universe."

If we just mean some superintelligent being that one day shows up and claims to have designed everything, then sure. But that's not the same thing as God.

Quote:Our boy CDF could use a heaping helping of self awareness.

His head is clearly so full of theistic bullshit that it's going to take a whole paradigm shift and a total change of lifestyle if he's to even actually start listening to what we're saying. He's far too swamped in his theism and creationism to listen... clearly. He's just preaching his crap at us and not one part of him seems to even want to consider the fact that we might be right and he might be miseducated.

EDIT: Why the fuck are the quotes not showing in this post? They look right to me. EDIT 2: Fixed. One extra open quote tag seemed to fuck them all up somehow.

What a disgrace you are to your monkey ancesters. At least you have the good grace to pretend they are not responsible for the likes of you.

@Mathilda
Nah, creationists have taken to "believing" in micro evolution, of late, as part of -how- they deny macroevolution.  They think it makes them sound that much less silly....the irony being that it makes them sound even sillier.

The thing that bunches their panties is speciation.  They're very salty about god having made them apes....apparently.  It;s almost as if they think his grand plan was shit.  Rolleyes

Funny how earlier he tried beating me over the head with a wikipedia article . When that same source considers his sides whole information theory pseudoscience. Selective sourcing ?

Doesn't it ever strike you that all of these comments about god swirl around a tiny fraction of what people have considered gods to be...the judeochristian brand, as it were?   Most gods are just beings -in this universe- that help or obstruct human effort through a variety of means.    They;re not creators and don;t claim to be, they;re not all powerful, theyre not all spirits, many are mortal.....and most have no magic whatsoever.

Personally, I don't think we can even begin to approach a hypothetical set of rational god beliefs if we begin with and limit ourselves to the common christer god.

First sentence, very problematic. Argument from ignorance.
