He wants gullible and fearful loons to buy conspiracy crap. He needs the Alex Jones idiots to support him. He doesn't give a shit whom he hurts as long as it gets him praise and keeps him in power.

I think it might.  My opinion is first and foremost poor black folks need money.  I'm hoping switching to "America First" vs. Globalism gives some better opportunities for people in the US.  

"Well, then instead of tax cuts for the super rich..."  I don't disagree with this.  Rich people love giving other rich people money.  And everyone in our government is rich.  Rich people weren't hurting under Obama.  Wallstreet didn't have a problem with Hillary.  I'd liked to have seen what Bernie would've done.  

But with Trump, he's at least not in lockstep with the machine.  Congress is still bought, but there's at least some push for variation.  

We'll see how it looks in 2020.  But I think the economy is the best bet for civil rights at this point.

Then let's hope we don't do anything likely to screw the economy up. Because you're right about economic improvement over the last eight years or so having had a good effect on the economic prospects of African Americans (along with everyone else). Historically, that hasn't lasted long before something fucks it up.

The other good thing is that the younger generations are not buying the bigotry of the older generations. 

It isn't a given that we can reverse this no, but we are at a point in history where we have no choice but to try. I think we can stop this trend, just like we ended slavery, just like gays can now get married. Our species can be very tribal but we can also be very compassionate too.

I;ve got 1600 sq feet of unoccupied basement and alot of guns.  The kind of guns ICE would have to call for backup on.  The kind of guns an immigrant father could defend his children with at great cost to the enemy...and I;ve already had the anne frank convo with my wife.  We have neighbors and employees who we wont just abandon at the first sight of the trumpen ss...because brown people in my house is a normal tuesday, not the brunt of a racist joke.

Issues such as this arouse a lot of passion but it pays to never cross the line and become an active domestic enemy unless a person is willing to pay the ultimate price.  We simply can't let 7 billion people flood into the country.  At what point would you be willing to draw the line and say "NO MORE!"  Will it be after you've let 200 million more flood in?  Or would it be after 1 billion?  What's your limit?  Other people have much lower limits.

Why should some people's lower limits dictate policy. How many immigrants we can absorb without being overwhelmed is a question that economists and sociologists can hash out. It's not like there's no evidence to be had. We don't have to base our immigration policy on our fee fees.
