After you take away the religious and political aspects of the topic, is there still a potential moral dilemma?
I would say yes, to an extent. For instance, if we get to the point that we can know that the fetus can experience pain during the procedure after a certain point of development, should that not raise at least some ethical questions?

I'm pro-universal healthcare and anti-war but I'm for a vastly smaller human population so that those who remain can justify living high enough on the food chain to justify eating meat. I'm also pro-autonomy, pro-maximizing personal freedom and pro- a woman's right to self determination and bodily integrity. So while I'm nominally pro-life on an individual basis I'd be fine with a draw down of human biomass. Every abortion helps.

It *my bolded* already does raise moral questions, questions best left to every unexpectedly pregnant woman to decide.

This argument has always bugged me are we saying that if a life were indistinct it would be all right to abort it?(whatever that means )
As far as i'm concerned there is no concern that trumps autonomy.

Technically the sperm and the egg are also alive.
So masses of sperm commit suicide to murder an egg.
This madness must end!

🧛♀️ Oh they will just argue that it's not a distinct being it's "just a sex cell" too bad that argument falls apart when we turn their own "but it's a potential fetus " on them .

If someone is "pro-life", I find it interesting to know what they actually mean by this. It seems to me there is a sliding scale. For example:
1) I would personally never have an abortion, because I would consider it to be wrong for me to do so. I respect other peoples' opinions to make their own judgements and choices based on their situation.
2) I think abortion is always wrong in any situation.
3) I think women and/or doctors should be legally punished for attempting abortions.
4) If the state has good reason to believe a woman is (or will soon be) seeking to terminate her pregnancy somehow, she should be arrested and forced to give birth in custody.

Please define fetal "pain" and "experience".

Oh yes, of course there are.
In fact many of them are PRO-LIFE.
Especially when is not them who have to die inside the womb.
