Paleese. This is a bullshit justification after the fact at best. Get someone from the reserve/preserve with a degree to back her up, then I'll consider it.
That's how game preserves and wildlife preserves that allow hunting work in Africa. They charge big money for the license and the hunter may only kill prey designated by the preserve. They are normally directed towards elderly or problematic individuals. That's how game preserve hunting works, particularly in Africa where so many animals considered desirable for hunting are endangered. An American game preserve might have more elk or mule deer than it knows what to do with, an African game preserve might have to track each individual animal. Unfortunately those same preservers can also be corrupt as hell and are often starved for cash so will look the other way .

Sounds like a good replacement for the penal system. I hope your not suggesting we hunt prisoners

I’ll never understand the desire, and sense of accomplishment one feels from killing animals for sport.

Seriously. Congratulations! You were able to shoot at a fifteen foot, two-thousand pound, unsuspecting animal and not miss. What a skill! Now, if all she had was a steak knife, that might be a level playing field.

We have a lottery for Elk around here, and to my understanding, it works as you described. You don’t just go out and shoot any Elk, but the one they designate. And most don’t do it because of that, and it’s an expensive lottery to get a chance.

If these people wanna prove how tough/amazing they are or whatever they should wrestle the animals. It's not a fair fight if you have a gun in your hand. Instead of shooting the animal, wrestle it with your bare hands and then I'll be impressed. I don't get these people who are like: "look at how manly I am, I shot X animal". Next time don't be a pussy and use your bare hands.

I mean i grew up hunting but we never called that a sport . That was putting dinner on the table because we lived in the arctic not like we could grow corn.
