Why is it Politics has no turned into an us verses them? Why?
Seems now when you disagree with a Trumpster they respond with: GET OVER YOU LIBTRARD CUCK!!! WE ARE WINNING THIS IS NO LONGER YOUR COUNTRY ANYMORE!!!"

OR: I'M ENJOYING ALL THESE LIBERAL TEARS!!!

Now why is it Americas political situation has now turned into what sports are. Petty rivalries and seeing the other side "loose"? It sure seems those who support Trump are more interested in seeing the "other side" get upset.

Shouldn't it be America winning is upholding our constitution, maintaining peace and helping ALL Americans?

It's never not been the case in democracy look at the history of the British parliament or even the party politics or Greece and Rome .

The United States was intended from the beginning to be a nation of free people. We were never intended to be "great" much less "great again." Let us not forget that our constitution made provisions for slavery.

The Constitution Wrote:Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among
the several States which may be included within this Union, according
to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by
adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound
to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed,
three fifths of all other Persons...

I object to sports rivalries being deemed petty, my good sir.

If I could take a shit on @Joods lawn the week before the Steelers kick the Ravens' ass, I probably wouldn't even do it. How's that for petty!

I don't know, but I have a room mate and a good friend that I can't talk politics with, just because they're big Trump fans, and I'm not.

OP: It's not like the US has not experienced this type of political animosity in the past, it has, we just haven't experienced it. Well, maybe just you. The last of the 60's and most of the 70's were pretty gnarly.

There's an old saying that pre-dates all the current politics in the US - Don't discuss politics in mixed company. People get emotional and worked up about their personal beliefs and opinions. This is nothing new. Hell, the US was riven by a civil war 150 years ago over...personal beliefs and opinions.

With that said, sometimes I'm in the mood for a good political argument and when that happens, come at me, bro.

I think what the US needs is possibly another civil war.

Well, a civil war and death camps.

My very religious, best friend's husband likes the WLB. Needless to say, religion and politics are off limits.

The roomie's not religious, but the friend is. although talking religion is definitely smoother than talking politics. He doesn't get his britches in a bunch nearly as much. Not that we discuss it much, but he has mentioned he left a church for not teaching hellfire and brimstone enough.
