I would argue YOU need to see the light but thats a fight for another day. Or if you perfer we could debate it in the Religion-->Creationism forum but something tells me you won't.
You would be wrong on both counts, but right now I am already chewing on someone. As soon as I spit them out I will jump in.

Why on earth would I want to do that on an internet forum with some semi-literate who can't spell 'competent'?. I did that in real life, more than once, with real theologians. Last time was with a good friend who happened to be a Passionist priest. He handed me my head. That doesn't make him right (necessarily) only clever and more mentally agile than me.
Presuppositional theological sophistry is no substitute for evidence.
I gather you did nor bother to read or did not grasp what what I wrote earlier. I reiterate, but with less delicacy:
(1) I do not argue with apologists. I consider them intellectually dishonest, arguing from a position of personal certitude . I am a skeptic, I do not claim to 'know' anything,I merely opine .Hence ,agnostic+atheist. I make no claims, and therefore have no burden of proof. You are the one making the claims, which begin with "I believe----" The burden of proof is yours,100%.
(2) I reject the notion that truth may be discovered by reason alone:I demand (credible) evidence.
(3) Show me your evidence or fuck off.

Let's not forget that Catholics are also defenders of child rape and molestation... by default, but still..
I feel icky just thinking about it, and I am a godless heathen.

NO, they are morally culpable for tolerating it.
On an official level, the Church still believes canon law trumps civil law,as it did for centuries.IE civil authorities could not judge or condemn clergy for ANY offence.

I'm sure there a more than a handful atheists here who grew up Catholic,
I'm a non believer now, an atheist now
I grew up Catholic because my parents forced me.
Now that I quit believing in God, I feel "saved" more than ever now!

A Catholic, huh?
I have waited for this day... It has annoyed me that there aren't Catholics scurrying around here.
I like pestering them...
Oh, and hello.
