PBS is great!!
September 9, 2018 at 9:31 pm
Lost my job on August 1 and got rid of cable to save money. Now, we've been watching PBS (mainly, PBS Kids) and it is great!!! One example is Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood:

Now, as far as my 600 kbps (via our Verizon smarphones, as we got rid of Vonage, also) Internet, that's not so great, but, with multiple browser tabs, I am learning to live with that, also!

Yeah, cable is expensive. Which is why we got rid of it.
However, Netflix and Hulu are cheap. And having both is still less expensive than cable.

We have Netflix and Amazon Prime; both work just fine OTA, especially, on our Wii U, which helps reduce the bandwidth to a decent SD experience.

Dinosaur Train!
Good for you. Cable is garbage anyway. And PBS really is great!

In making this transition in life (having had cable for 20 years straight), I was surprised to learn that a lot of PBS shows are offered on Amazon Prime via streaming! PBS has definitively come a long way over the years.
And, also, Martha Stewart is still on the air.

Have been seriously thinking of cutting the cord, too.

Daniel Tiger is great, my son loves it. I still bring out classic Mr Rogers Neighborhood for him from time to time (thanks YouTube pirates!) and he loves it almost as much. During one episode they covered how balloons are made (used to by now I’m sure) and he went nuts for it.
