I'll trade you my Nintendo DS XL Yellow/Black for it Wink Though the 3D aspect wouldn't work for me, given my eyesight, and which is why I never got one, I'd still like to play a few more games in the Professor Layton series Wink

You can get a 2DS for around 80 bucks. Around 60 "quid" to you Brits. Far cheaper than a 3ds, no matter the currency. The only difference is no 3D... and since you don't want that feature anyway, a 2DS sounds like that's your best bet.

Oh... is that the equivalent of a 3DS except no 3D... ie the same games on both? I didn't know that option existed... cool if it does.

Yep. You can play all 3DS games on a 2DS... just no 3D slider on the latter. Google it. Seems like the best buy for you because 2DS is much cheaper.

Yeah, just looked it up on Amazon and it's about 80 quid for a standard 2DS but about twice the price for a 2DS XL, which is the one I'd be more inclined to go for; ie less fiddly and therefore less likely to set off my RSI... also gotta say, the standard 2DS looks butt-ugly and doesn't even fold over, which is useful for protecting the screen and transporting it. But anyway, thanks for the suggestion... it was total news to me that that existed as an equivalent alternative to a 3DS... so it's definitely something I'll consider. But since the XL would be so expensive anyway, another thing to consider would be to pay a bit extra and get a Switch... since that's at least slightly similar to a DS but with extra benefits. The reason to prefer the former though would probably be the price of games; ie Switch games are extortionate, but I always enjoyed just buying secondhand/cheap DS games... so hopefully the 2DS/3DS platform is old enough that you can get games cheap for it because on principle I'm not prepared to pay 50 quid a pop for a single game on the Switch.

Up in the morning. Pretty typical for me these days. Toured the forum. Read the latest headlines to tumble into my inbox. Now listening to Michael Buble on Spotify. Spotify is not my favorite music client, but I can search music and make playlists on the computer while streaming it to my home entertainment center which has much better sound than the computer, so I get the best of both worlds.

Just got an email alert. The salad bar at Lund's is on sale today, $3.99 a pound. Maybe I'll go out for lunch. I love big salads, and you can't beat the price.

Wondering if I've caught giardia from the dogs. Last night and this morning has been horrible.

Going out to take some photos. I updated my camera and lens inventory about 3 years ago with the intention of resuming my photographic hobby after a 10 year hiatus.

Then various career and personal issues intervened.

Finally getting back into it.

Holy shit, Google's home WiFi/mesh hardware is amazing. Replaced my old Netgear WNDR-3700 and Almond 2015 range extender with a Google 3 pack. I have 3x-5x the speed I had in my room. It's night and day.
