You don't have anything to apologize for. If former members here decided to rage quit because they got butt hurt and couldn't handle it, then that's on them. One of those individuals hurt a lot of people, myself included. I didn't see that as a reason to quit the forum all together. Sometimes breaks are needed from a lot of different things and mature people know when to take those breaks but it shows a lot of childishness when two people go out of their way to try and sway others from coming here simply because their feelings got hurt. They both can go fuck off. 

Shell - you are a valuable member here. I appreciate your views. I have gotten to know you and Tibs personally. You stand your ground on issues you're passionate about and you take flack as well as give it. You have a spine and know how to use it. For that, I admire you so very much. I can't wait to see the new house if you'll have me back

Never forget that you don't need to apologize for the misunderstandings of others. Stay true to you and let them work through their bullshit.

At least you own your part. From what I've read of the negative posts from Evie, it was the same old blame everyone else and don't accept any part of his own undoing here. He would rather mislead unsuspecting people with lies and bullshit rather than be upfront and honest. People have gone way out of their way to help him out and he's done nothing but turn on them like a vulture. The fact that he's called out four members here and shown absolute hate is just appalling. I feel sorry for him that he chooses to carry around that much hate.

I’m thinking people are smart enough to not take their word for it. I love this place. I have known people here since my first time around in 2012. If this place closed down and someone came here tossing opinions around about another forum that is obviously welcoming us in, I wouldn’t hesitate. I’d want to continue seeing my internet friends and I’d go check it out for myself. Hopefully the majority sees it this way.

And I don’t even have grudges against the dudes that left. I care about Evie even though I think he’s in the wrong. And I liked Thump even though he said some nasty shit toward the end. They left because they wanted to leave. People who do come over will see for themselves that this place can be a comfy internet home if they want it to be. Plus, Shell isn’t so scary once you get to know her   She’s like a fried empanada. Crunchy on the outside, soft in the inside.

I've always made it a rule to find out for myself what people are like rather than to go by hearsay.

Anyway, my history is that my husband had written a novel and wanted to publicise it. He joined TTA and I followed him. I stayed around. He got pissed off with TTA after some over zealous ruling with a mafia game where he got banned for a rule he didn't know about. But he also claims that he didn't particularly like the forum anyway (he likes AF though).

I found somewhere fun to debate with theists on TTA. I started playing mafia games there, but eventually they started petering out when Hughsie left. Then Losty invited me over to AF to play mafia games which were being introduced and I joined up as I_am_not_Mafia so no one would know I was originally from TTA. I eventually changed my name when I realised I quite enjoyed being here as well.

Then over time I ended up spending more time here than TTA. I don't know why. It just seems like they were burning through the chewtoys too quickly and there was just less to talk about. That and the Xtians were really annoying me here and so that motivated me to debate more on this forum. So note to self. When you need to keep people around, recruit some annoying Xtians.
