Wrong.  93% believe that God exists (but not in the world*), but they don't know that God exists.  We don't even know if that 93% would assert that they know that God exists with the same certitude that you do.
Everena: ^Yes in the world  and yes many of us do know God exists.

* Buddhists alone account for 7% of the world population, and while they may believe in gods, they do not believe in a god such as you do.

Everena: Buddhists are atheists and are counted as such. They make up most atheiss in the world. Look at the article with 73 cited scholarly sources.

I could figure out the actual percentage of people in the world who believe in a god, but given you will just follow this with more ignorance, assertion, denial and your special brand of "kicking ass and taking names" then I really can't be arsed.

WRONG
According to Hindu cosmology, above the earthly plane, are other planes: (1) Bhuva Loka, (2) Swarga Loka, meaning Good Kingdom, is the general name for heaven in Hinduism, a heavenly paradise of pleasure, where most of the Hindu Devatas (Deva) reside along with the king of Devas, Indra, and beatified mortals.

Quote:Moksha

The ultimate goal of life, referred to as moksha, nirvana or samadhi, is understood in several different ways: as the realization of one's union with God; as the realization of one's eternal relationship with God; realization of the unity of all existence; perfect unselfishness and knowledge of the Self; as the attainment of perfect mental peace; and as detachment from worldly desires. Such realization liberates one from samsara, thereby ending the cycle of rebirth, sorrow and suffering.[166][167] Due to belief in the indestructibility of the soul,[168] death is deemed insignificant with respect to the cosmic self.[169]

The meaning of moksha differs among the various Hindu schools of thought. For example, Advaita Vedanta holds that after attaining moksha a person knows their "soul, self" and identifies it as one with Brahman and everyone in all respects.[170][171] The followers of Dvaita (dualistic) schools, in moksha state, identify individual "soul, self" as distinct from Brahman but infinitesimally close, and after attaining moksha expect to spend eternity in a loka (heaven). To theistic schools of Hinduism, moksha is liberation from samsara, while for other schools such as the monistic school, moksha is possible in current life and is a psychological concept. According to Deutsche, moksha is transcendental consciousness to the latter, the perfect state of being, of self-realization, of freedom and of "realizing the whole universe as the Self".[156][170] Moksha in these schools of Hinduism, suggests Klaus Klostermaier,[171] implies a setting free of hitherto fettered faculties, a removing of obstacles to an unrestricted life, permitting a person to be more truly a person in the full sense; the concept presumes an unused human potential of creativity, compassion and understanding which had been blocked and shut out. Moksha is more than liberation from life-rebirth cycle of suffering (samsara); Vedantic school separates this into two: jivanmukti (liberation in this life) and videhamukti (liberation after death).[172][173]

Quote:About half of Hindus in the survey (48%) say they believe in heaven.....

(Pew Reserach Center, American Survey)

Quote:Do Hindus believe in heaven or hell?

Because Hindus believe in karma and reincarnation, the concept of heaven and hell as worlds of eternal glory or damnation do not exist in Hinduism. Hindus also do not ascribe to the concept of Satan or devil that is in eternal opposition to God. [See What is Karma? and Do Hindus believe in reincarnation?]

Some Hindus may believe in what is described in Hindu scriptures as two planes of existence that can be likened to heaven and hell. These are respectively svarga and naraka. Neither svarga or naraka, however, are permament or eternal. Both are intermediary planes of existence in which the soul might exhaust a portion of its karmic debt or surplus before taking physical birth once again to strive for moksha. [See What is moksha?]

(Hindu American Foundation)

For many, Moksha is not a place and not an after-life. For many, it is a state of being.  For them, Moksha is available here and now to all who seek it.  You don't have to die to go there.

Once again your ignorance bites you in the ass.

Everena, I have tried to give you the benefit of the doubt, as I do with all godders, but your unyeilding ludicrous mumbo jumbo, is just too much. Evolution is an absolute fact. It is undeniable. To say otherwise is irrational, unintelligent, and completely preposterous. Now, those folks who study this field for a living, may not have all the pieces to the puzzle, but they have a damn good idea of what the picture looks like.

Also, your constant yammering about what science can or can not answer, is another thorn in my side. There is a tremendous difference between what science can answer, and what humans understand about said science. It was not that long ago that not a single person on the planet knew how stars worked. Now, we do. When people did not know, it did not change the fact of how they worked. Just as if there a way to "bypass" the speed of light, and travel vast distances in a short period of time, then that science already exists, regardless of our ability to comprehend it.

You are either exhaustively dense, or you are a troll. I do my best not to throw the term troll around loosely, but, if the bridge fits.

I am not even religious. I think all religions are man made. 93% of the world believes in God or a Higher Power. The remaining 7% are agnositics, buddhists, with very few convinced atheists in the world.  Here 73 cited scholarly sources https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_atheism

All gods are man made too, dumbass.

Everena: Human perceptions of what God is are man made. We perceive God in the way that is most comforting and makes the most sense to us. We will not know God again until we cross back over.

Evolution has nothing to do with my God belief, I think they go together just fine. And none of you should care if I am not convinced that every species on the planet has turned into an entirely different species. If you are right, then more evidence will be forthcoming and I will then accept it as fact.

And nothing changes the fact that science is only seeking to discover and understand how an already existing and operating universe works. Yes, we have made great strides.

And I am not a troll. I just disagree with you. I am putting you on ignore and I recommend you do the same to me if I bother you so much.

I just googled what percentage of the world is religious. It said 84%.

Just thought you should know another one of your "facts" is wrong.

We see there unaffiliated as 16% so that's 16% unreligious making your 93% bogus.

Everena: I am unaffiliated! I am part of that 16%. I am no relligion and think they are all man made. I still know God exists.

Sweetie Ignorant Bimbo can't answer the questions about logic so she makes even more false posts.
Religionists, (especially those associated with the Bible ... BILLIONS of them), have a judgmental deity who virtually wiped out humanity in their texts, AND this deity required the sacrifice of his son in order to feel good .... THAT is hardly "comforting".  Is there a bimbo training camp ?

Read on, dearie. I wasn't finished posting. https://atheistforums.org/thread-54759-p...pid1852658

You said, "Oh really? As I have stated, Christians, Judaists, Muslims, Hindus, Jainists, Scientologists and most new agers (the vast majority of religious people in the world) all believe in Creator God, a soul that exists separately from the body, reward/redemption, and an afterlife in a heavenly type place. Also every religion has very similiar moral teachings and instructions." The heavenly type place is not true for over half of Hindus if not in fact all of them (see my previous post regarding the Hindu American Foundation quote). You were wrong and you simply can't admit it because you're an egotistical twat.
