That if you are on your desktop page and click the control button and then the left mouse button and then use the scroll in the middle of the mouse, that you can make your desktop icons bigger and smaller. And they stay that way unless you re-do them.
Okay, so maybe everyone on earth who uses a computer knew that but me, but it was damned exciting for me to discover.
Now if I could just figure out how to give my name a subtitle instead of having it read "previous user names" that would just make my day.

I've discovered that the car keys in your pocket occupy a super position of both the left and right pockets.
It's not until you transfer all of your shopping bags to one hand that the keys will take up the one position of the pocket that's on the same side as the bags.
I've also discovered that you need to apply 4.2 times the force to make a baby bounce as high as a basketball does.
That's on a standard court. Still good to eat after, much more tender.

RUSH is the greatest band, ever!
People can't drive.
People suck.
I WILL ALWAYS BE LAST!
@No One.....
I still like Rush's music. But after listening to the lyrics of a few of their songs, in recent years, they come across as trust fund kids. Not super rich, but suburb kids.
Tom Sawyer is a song that gives me a lip twitch now knowing the old story in the book is about getting other people to do the labor for you.
And how many middle class or poor people for that matter have family members whom own a Barchetta?
And looking back at it now, as an atheist, which I wasn't then when I first heard the song, what does Rush mean by "Free Will"?

There are those who think that life
Has nothing left to chance
A host of holy horrors
To direct our aimless dance
A planet of playthings
We dance on the strings
Of powers we cannot perceive
The stars aren't aligned
Or the gods are malign
Blame is better to give than receive
You can choose a ready guide
In some celestial voice
If you choose not to decide
You still have made a choice
You can choose from phantom fears
And kindness that can kill
I will choose a path that's clear
I will choose free will
There are those who think that
They've been dealt a losing hand
The cards were stacked against them
They weren't born in Lotus-Land
All preordained
A prisoner in chains
A victim of venomous fate
Kicked in the face
You can't pray for a place
In heaven's unearthly estate
You can choose a ready guide
In some celestial voice
If you choose not to decide
You still have made a choice
You can choose from phantom fears
And kindness that can kill
I will choose a path that's clear
I will choose free will
Each of us
A cell of awareness
Imperfect and incomplete
Genetic blends
With uncertain ends
On a fortune hunt
That's far too fleet
You can choose a ready guide
In some celestial voice
If you choose not to decide
You still have made a choice
You can choose from phantom fears
And kindness that can kill
I will choose a path that's clear
I will choose free will
Peart was the main lyricist. For me, it's saying choose what's best for you. Don't accept what others say.
Sure, their sound has changed. But musically speaking there isn't a better band. Individually yes, there are better musicians. Hendrix is better than Lifeson. Les Claypool is probably better than Lee. If he is not, Stu Hamm certainly is. Peart is just the best, there isn't anyone better. As a group though, they are just perfect.

Peart without a doubt is the top of the drummer field.
But again, even outside of RUSH, I look back at the rock I got into in the 80s, and it really was mostly escapism, and smacked of suburban angst.
Kiss I didn't get into, but please, "I want to rock and roll all night, and party every day". Can anyone say Brett?
John Cougar, "Little ditty about Jack and Diane"....... <------ So much a song about not being able to pay your bills, surviving war, spousal abuse" NOT..... But about two kids falling in love. Mind you, take that with a grain of salt me being an ABBA fan.
But at the risk of blaspheming Hendrix, he was a pioneer, nobody should question that. But I love Vernon Reid of Living Color far more. He has blazing fast speed I had not heard in my life.
