The main reason for choosing Atheism is because i am fed up of religious activity in my place .
Thanks for the reply ,
My place has all sorts of religion We have Muslims here , We have Christians here , We have Hindus here , All these religious people are specialist in annoying other people who does not have religion as a priority . They are all very busy with their loud speakers preaching their religion from early in the morning . The Muslims are busy strictly focusing on their prayers 5 times a day . This religions ways are a bit hard to follow . I mean , what kind of person these days can find time to pray 5 times a day ? Starting from early in the morning . The Christians have a not so strict prayer system compared to Muslims . The Hindus here are doing the same sort of sound pollution with devotional songs and stuff coming out of their loud speakers all the time . And its like 90% of the population are not concerned about the noise pollution coming out of these loud speakers . I really hate all these noise pollution's Therefore i am staying away from all of you people representing these religions . See how nature - trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls RE: Hello , I am an Atheist

My whole life got better when I moved to the side of a mountain and got away from all that -- mostly just traffic noise, but loudspeakers, too. It's election season here now, and a few of the politicians' cars, where they yell through the loudspeakers and wave, are noisy enough that I can hear a little bit. But not too bad. The only religion-related noise I get is twice a year. There's a Shinto shrine I can see from my kitchen window, across the valley. They have festivals in spring and fall, and on those evenings there's a karaoke contest. It's just noisy enough to remind me how lucky I am. I hope you find peace and quiet!
Welcome!

"I've decided to be an atheist because religion is a prodigious pain in the arse."
I don't think I've ever heard that one before, more usually atheism comes from science in my experience (eg abiogenesis in the proximity of hydrothermal vents and the theory of evolution) and of course a lack of evidence for unicorns/leprachauns/tooth fairies/gods. It's all good though and I esteem your finding your own path - welcome!
Welcome, it’s not much “quieter” here but it’ll save your ears at least.
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post

For me I am an atheist because I have never believed. My mum tried to make me a Christian at one point sending me to Sunday school, but I spent the whole time pointing out the flaws in the genesis story, I remember asking who Cain married after killing his bro, apparently I wasn't there to ask questions so they told my mum not to bring me back which I was more than fine with. Basically I found it all stupid and voiced that opinion throughout. And that was that, in the UK its not a big deal and my dad was apparently a lapsed catholic meaning he didn't believe but was still officially a catholic. You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.
