I Don't Care

RE: I Don't Care
If everyone would stop abusing these poor bigots and misogynists by accurately pointing out that they're bigots and misogynists then they would stop being bigots and misogynists.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

In my opinion, this one line sums up your communication problems. Never mind what it is about. You are incautious in your extrapolations and therefore demeaning toward those who disagree with you.

No, you got it all wrong - men have thick skulls, that protect our shriveled, twitching, penis-shaped egos.

I'm sure they will take your proposition into consideration. Right after they're done "giving up" sexual harassment, domestic violence, pay-gap, "glass ceiling" and whatever else ails those crazy broads, amirite? Yeah, this guy gets it...

Loathing is like a pyramid scheme. Once you have enough people loathing your white self for you, you can retire, I suppose.

Yeah, I don't feel responsible for slavery either. But if I am responsible for slavery - I'll be honest - I think I got away with it...

An emotion divorced from its cause is basically what creates memes, and memes are routinely applied to people, things, and issues that they were never intended to be applied to. Reason becomes emotion, emotion becomes a meme, the meme gets applied to things that have to do with the original Reason, and frequently the meme goes full circle to directly contradict the original Reason. I gave a good example of that in another discussion where a meme that promoted diversity went full circle and ate its own tale.

Actually, I know that you agreed with it. It wasn't an extrapolation. And it wasn't demeaning. It was just a factually true statement. So... Violin

I do think you can be quite rude though.

One thing I'm seeing here quite often is people asking questions of others and then using that information as ammunition, and then a whole lot of people jumping on that band wagon.
It seems that when you're new here, one or two sentences taken the wrong way can destroy you.
I believe people are more multifaceted than that.

It is women who have very fragile egos. Everyone, everywhere knows that this is true.

This sentence right here is misogynistic, lol.  I mean...how are you still baffled by those charges?

Well, if you know you’re a misogynist and you’re cool with it, why do you complain about being called one?  Huh
