Oh bullshit.

You are just arguing for the sake of arguing now.

Of course they had young fans...at different times.  Jimi and Elvis weren't fighting over the same Vegas stages FFS.
No they weren't fighting the culture war was going on and no i'm trying to explain my point

Then Elvis should have come out, dazed on acid and set his upside down stringed guitar on fire.

Not in some crazy damn fringed one piece jump suit.

Jimi sure as hell wasn't trying to be the next Elvis.  If Elvis was trying to be like Jimi, he failed miserably.

I find neither Elvis nor Jimi were attractive when they were younger.

Now Frank Sinatra. Naughty

I didn't know he was that attractive until I caught one of his movies on TCM.

Fine let me try one more time

1. Jimmy Hendrix appears and pushes counter cultural rock  and attracts white youth's

2. A post civil rights white America's  freaks out because their idolizing a black musician

3. Concerned they push people like Elvis to try and lure youths back to "acceptable rock "

4. Elvis gets a push during Hendrix run but the plan fails and counter cultural rock continues

And no before you ask Elvis wasn't involved in this he had nothing but respect for Hendrix

Jimi was not the first black musician who had white youth for fans.

In your early glory days of Elvis there were many black singing groups who had white kids dancing their legs off.  The Platters, The Temptations, The Four Tops, to name a few. My mom is 17 years older than I am.  I clearly remember her watching American Bandstand when I was a kid and dancing around to the music.  She loved the groups that were part of the Detroit/Motown sound, which is where I got my love for that music.  She loved Johnny Mathis...dad and I didn't like him much.  Mom and dad had the soundtrack to Goldfinger with Shirley Bassey belting out the title tune.  These are memories from pre 1966 when we moved from the town where dad went to college.

You are reaching...and from what I can find, Elvis respected Hendrix because of his military service more than anything else.

The people who were into Shag dancing and the Motown sound weren't into the Woodstock sound which was not highly stylized and choreographed but was more freeform and jam in nature.

1. Yes I know but none of the were the kind of counter culture the Hendrix was and again racial tensions made it worst .

2. He also respected him as a guitarist

3. Once again they were concerned with the color of Hendrix fans (white)

Who is 'they'?

Black groups were hugely popular with white youth.

Why was Hendrix a supposed threat?

The counterculture embraced Jimi.  Have you ever watched Woodstock?

1. As I explained a segment of white(often conservative ) America viewed him as subversive

2. Again though none of them were Hendrix or as radical as Hendrix

3. Because his lyrics and sound  freaked them out the same other styles freaked people out like Kiss did during their time or Marilyn Manson not to long ago .

4 . Yes I know the counter culture did that my point he was perceived as a threat to status que  as were a lot of things during the 60s

Let me try and explain another way

During the beginning of the 1900 century ragtime was seen as subversive

During the 80s Kiss and many other 80s hair bands were seen as subversive

During the 2000's Manson was viewed as subversive

During the 60s Hendrix faced the same as he was subversive during a period of racial tensions so white  meat musicians like Elvis were pushed and while he saw a boost even a peak it didn't work because as you have pointed out their different genres .

But if this explanation is insufficient (again I apologize) then i'm afraid I can't make it any clearer so I think i'll stop.
