Movie Trailer heads up thread.

Terminator: Dark Fate

I know everything I need to know about this film from the trailer.  Why?  Because I've seen it all before.

Young Charles Xavier, Zero Dark Flirty, and their talented B-lister friends must find a way to re-summon their youthful turtle power and wage battle against Bob Gray aka the Scary from Derry aka Pennywise the Clown once again in IT: Chapter Two.

This time it's serious.

Let's hold our fingers crossed for this movie to enter the canon, unlike the last 3 or 4 movies.

Sarah character here reminds me of Leia in new SW movies and old man Terminator of old man Luke.

Unlike many here, I really don't give a tiger's charbroiled bum about canon.  I'm old school - I watch films to be entertained.

I had never heard of "canon" until Epi. VII came out.

Yeah, I guess you need to take entertainment way too seriously in order to be concerned that what Agnok the Redoubtable did in episode twelve of series nine was at total variance with what the Wrrllnns Of The Myst prophesied in episode three of series two.

But haven't you noticed that they constantly make sequels and then disregard them when they make further sequels as if they don't exist?

They literally tell us "oh we fucked up last time but this time we'll make a good one - trust us."

In Rocky franchise there is only one movie that we are to ignore: Rocky V, but in Terminator it's every movie after second one.

They do that because people pay to see the non-canon sequels. It's almost as if canon was not a life or death issue for most people.

Oh, I've noticed, I just don't care.  If the film entertains me, it doesn't bother me if it doesn't jibe with the others in the series.
