It's Father's Day here in Aus.
I slept in this morning, had lunch with mum and my daughter, went to the dog park in the arvo, maybe thirty dogs, running around and smiling, great atmosphere, then had a swing, the other kids can line up, I'm not getting off til I'm ready, it's my day.
And tonight, I'm having KFC in front of the telly with my girl.

I’ve been seriously contemplating quitting my job, selling up, and just moving on over the weekend.

On the verge of being Britain-free.  Sort of like finally getting round to having that annoying skin tag removed.

The other thing I’ve been thinking about is to take a few months off and just go visit some of the archaeological sites I’ve always wanted to see.

Angkor Wat in Siem Reap is pretty cool for archaeology and you could easily spend a week and not see every ruin.

Skara Brae, various stone circles, Tintagel, New Grange, Rome, Egypt, possibly Petra.

Crete and Greece.

It’s one of the sites that’s always fascinated me and I’ve never been able to get to.

I feel, at times, that I should have taken up archaeology.

So I ring my ex and ask where the school shoes are.
She forgot to put them in, no apology.
I tell her it's all cool, I'll sort it out.
I take my daughter to the shops and buy some more school shoes.
We get to school 15 mins late.
We get a late slip but a txt has already been sent to my ex and she sends me a message asking why my daughter's not at school yet.
I don't bother to answer.
Once someone thinks you're a piece of shit, you'll never get the smell out of their head.
