Here's a really fucked up thing: if you're having a stressful day at work, pick up Iris Chang's The Rape of Nanking, the story of a time when humanity dropped the ball so hard that the Nazis had to step in and try to stem the horror. Yes, you read that correctly: THE MOTHERFUCKING NAZIS, the last group you'd expect to save thousands of non-white lives (admittedly, more one Nazi Party member named John Rabe than the personal intervention of Adolf Hitler, who probably couldn't care less) had to be the ones to set up the Nanking Safety Zone that sheltered 200,000 Chinese and stem the tide of rape and murder.
It really puts it all into perspective.

Dumbest Anti Tans Argument
"If you can change genders why can't you change your age "
1. Age is a universal state that all will eventually come too .While not everyone will experience gender the same way as gender is highly socially constructed even if it highly matches sex
2. You can't change age you can change genders as they are socially constructed mostly
"Change was inevitable"

Guys, here's one.
Let's say you put a strong heavy magnet (1kg) on a bathroom scale and hover another identical 1kg magnet over it to repel (eg: north > north)
Will the scale still read 1kg or 2 kg
That covers today's post from a bored retiree lol.

It's entirely possible for a much larger force, depending on the strength of the magnets.

I have far too many of these things, more than I’ll ever use. I could probably make do with just a third of what I’ve got, but - to be safe - I’ll donate half of them. I feel better, having made this decision.

I wonder if the distance between a Logitech USB receiver and a M510 mouse drains the battery equally, or if distance matters (longer away a stronger signal is needed compared to closer between the USB receiver and the mouse). It would make sense to design this way, to conserve battery since a weaker signal would be needed with the mouse within close proximity to the USB receiver.

No.
To vary the power in a way that would conserve battery use you would need telemetry back to the mouse - meaning a transmitter and reciever at both the mouse and computer.
It's easier and cheaper to just run a fixed power output at the mouse.

Today I found out that ICE has gone so far as to create universities out of whole cloth to try and entrap immigrants. And that this isn't the first time.

2 kg if there are no metal parts in the scale being attracted to the magnet. The magnets will separate by pushing up the upper magnet until the magnetic force between them is reduced to exactly the weight of the upper, ~ 9,8 Newtons. This is the equilibrium position. By virtue of Newton's third law, this means that also the weight of the upper pushes down on the lower.
