Airplanes don't exist

RE: Airplanes don't exist
One more very important beer recommendation: late fall and winter is the season when e.g. the traditional monastery breweries in Munich (but also elsewhere) make the strong and malty Bock beer. It's perfect for cold days and you have to try some of them, but beware, they can be very strong.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

But the band was called Jefferson AIRplane, not Jefferson AEROplane. Sheesh.

Funny you mentioned that. I was just watching Grace Slick on Letterman last night...
I don't find her mannerisms very feminine? Same with Celine Dion.

Hey 172, that'll be $10.99 for the suds wash! If you need a blow dry, there's a harrier in the area?

RE: Airplanes don't exist
A few days ago, I've been on an airplane for the first time in my life. I was travelling from Zagreb to Mainz. I've studied German for 4 years in school, however, I usually speak English here. I don't even see why I should put effort into learning German. Germans who come to Croatia as tourists usually don't bother even to learn how to say "thank you" in Croatian.

You know, the thing I have trouble getting my head around is that there are people who have been Flat-Earthers for quite a long time. I don't get how is that possible. I can understand how somebody can "believe" in a Flat-Earth (or, better say, think "Maybe there is something to it, I am not sure.") before he has researched the topic for a while. But I don't understand how you can be a Flat-Earther for a long. Even when you are just trolling, don't you feel bad about yourself if you are doing it for years? I've expressed that thought here as well.

People think flatter is an internet phenom, it's not. There are sincere believers, I've known some since the '60s.

Well, I am not sure, of course, but I don't think most Flat-Earthers on the Internet are sincere. Here are one of the reasons why:

What does "pseudolite" mean, according to you? Look, I (and I guess everybody in this thread) think that you are trolling. If you are going to pretend to believe the Earth is flat, at least put some effort. Say something like "Well, maybe they are throwing satellites up to the sky every day and making them fall down to Antarctica." or "Maybe they attached the transmitters to some natural celestial body to which the Universal Acceleration applies." or something else that would seem like a plausible response by somebody who believed the Earth was flat. What you are doing right now is very insulting.
