Finished an article on this version of "Come Together," performed by a couple dozen musicians working in isolation:
And contrasted it with the infamous video of celebrities singing "Imagine."

Well, THAT was an abomination of the first order.

It's 8:30 in the damn morning.
I have done some laundry, been to the grocery store, done what business I need to do online, and now am trying to figure out how to fill the rest of the day.
Entertain me - damnit!

I decided to drink and have a proper drunken "wake" for him, albeit on my tod. He was a musician so lots of music, including my own compositions. He only nominally turned to Xtianity in his final decade in order to keep his "new" "fundy" missus happy, IMO - anyway the funeral was...cursory Xtian pants and no wake or any kind of after-service shindig. I know why he'd "pretend" to be a believer like that...I am aware of times where I'd do anything to keep my missus happy. Still...the lies...he gave me a copy of "The God Delusion" for my 21st birthday FFS! Anyway, bereavement ain't easy, and we're all only bereaved of our biological father at most once...interesting distinction I made there methinks...he's not been the only important male "parental" or, perhaps "formative" influence in my life. bla bla bla, thank fuck for anonymous internet fora etc. glug glug glug nay bovs

Sorry about your dad.

I'm sorry.
It's difficult to grieve but even more difficult to grieve someone you are 'supposed' to grieve. When the day comes that my mother dies I will be similarly conflicted. It's been about 15 years since we have had contact and the decades before that were most unpleasant. I suppose I will, once again, grieve the mother I didn't have.

Yeah arewethereyet, I should grieve...but haven't "properly" as my sister has pointed out on multiply occasions...I dunno, it's a weird one...maybe I'm just more of a "cold heartless bastard" than her. He had excommunicated me and everybody else bar his mrs and "church friends" around 18 months before his death - he wasn't even sick at that time. We all still have no idea where he lived in his final years - one theory is the Orkney Isles, seriously. He was already dead to me in many ways, I think, so despising I was of him for excommunicating me, and everybody else like that and going into "hiding." So once he's actually dead #grieve? Why now?! It's a thing. He died of some nasty arse sinus/head/neck cancer BTW. Perhaps I should tear my hear out. I have SOME trouble with my sinuses too...wooooohoooo!

Boru Ahem...
Notice how the time and key signatures (and often the tempo) change with practically new bar, and how many of the celebrities in question fail to stay within the 12-tone scale.
