You know, a bit relevant to the little digression over whether or not Hispanics are their own race, that guy doesn’t look like a Hung Phoc Nguyen. Looks more “Irish guy whose mother drank while she was pregnant” to me. And, while the identification with the Klan picture isn’t conclusive, the resemblance is certainly compelling enough that identification is plausible. We might need more time to properly confirm or deny it, but, between the nature of the crime, the resemblance between the two, and the location, it’s certainly a plausible lead at this point.

Really?

You falling for this steaming turd?

Why isn't ANY media picking up on it?

There is one horribly made Youtube bit - narrated by what sounds like a crackwhore on thorazine - but other than that - nothing......

Big conspiracy?

Because Rye Rye isn't blind .By the way he only said it's plausible.

So according to tiker if media isn't reporting it .It can't be him . Flawless logic  Hilarious

Just so everyone's clear, when I just made my judgment on the Klan photos, I said it was merely plausible.

It will require more investigation before we can put it in the category of "busted" or "confirmed," and, naturally, I ain't the one who can actually do that investigation.

For what it's worth, the man in the Klan photo looks a lot like Gregory McMichael from what admittedly little we can see of him. It's a grainy blow-up from a profile shot. On its own, it's not a positive identification, sure, but given that it's a fairly recent photo from the same general area as the shooting, and that it depicts a Klan Rally and one of the marchers looks a lot like the perpetrator of a shooting that is allegedly racially motivated, I think it's a good potential lead for an investigator to follow up on. Is he the guy in the photograph? He might be, he might not be. I have no trouble believing that someone else in the area looks a lot like him and is a member of the Klan. An investigation could go either way, and I'd like to see where the evidence leads before either totally dismissing it or accepting it as Gospel Truth. Remember, this is an ongoing investigation, and the evidence could go either way. I just think it's a compelling angle that investigators should actually investigate.

There is definitely a resemblance but I can see more than one guy of that age with that same mustache/goatee style pretty much any time I leave my house.

I think the guy in the bottom pic has more prominent ears than the mugshot guy...but the pic is at a different angle so who knows.

And if you're stuck on the "media isn't reporting it, therefore it has no merit" rut, I recently listened to the Last Podcast on the Left's series on Casey Anthony. They go over the facts of the case and the whole media circus, and yet they talk about a couple things that somehow got overlooked, even as the news media seemed to get saturated with it.

For instance, when she first reported Caylee was missing, she claimed that she was kidnapped by a woman named Zanny the Nanny, and when pressed, she said the full name was Zenaida Gonzalez. The cops found a woman with that name in the Orlando area, and it turned out she never knew Casey and didn't work with children. Nobody could figure out where she got the very unusual name. Then, Marcus found a blog with a very compelling piece of evidence. Two of her neighbours who lived on that same stretch of Hopespring Drive (4937) as her: Zenaida Almodovar (4701) and Peter Gonzalez (4709).

In another case, remember how the media talked about how they found 80-something searches on her computer for Chloroform? What they didn't tell you is that the day Caylee died, most of the Internet traffic used on the computer was Firefox, and one of the searches on Firefox that day was "Fool-proof suffocation." This didn't come out during the trial because the cops were so focused on the chloroform theory that they didn't bother to look for other methods. Indeed, Jose Baez admitted in his book about the trial that such a search had been made on the computer, although he claimed it was by George Anthony (although later digital sleuthing showed it was done after he had gone to work and Casey was the only one who could have made the search). And this never came up at the trial because the Orange County PD was so focused on chloroform that they never bothered to search on other browsers.

Here's both parts, just for the record:

Hence my caveats that, while this looks like him, it wouldn't be too surprising if it was something else. Having just watched Eyes Wide Shut a couple days ago, the issue of doubtful identification is fresh in my mind. The angle makes a one-to-one identification very difficult (the mugshot favours the right-hand side, but the profile is strictly left-hand), but I think it would be interesting to see more photos of this guy at that rally so the people can figure out whether or not they are the same guy.
