Nice thought, bud, but there are probably 5 billion people who disagree. For them it's "root, hog, or die". Thanks to RAH for that quote.

The same goes for the rape of Nanking (already mentioned) or the slaughter of millions of civilians by Axis forces during the war.

Both sides used terror tactics and if anyone thinks the Japanese wouldn't have done the same to our cities if they had the chance, they're fools.

On the other hand the use of the atomic bombs, however terrible the act was, saved millions of lives, both Japanese, Allied, and civilians in occupied areas.

I used to know a Dutch guy who, as a kid - emphasis KID - spent years in a Japanese prison and saw the cruelty daily.  He said using the nukes saved his life and those of countless others.

Oh, and the "filth" my father has caused?  To spend his life as a GP helping others.

The main problem is condemning those who use similar tactics later on. You do know that 9/11 was carried out mainly as paying to Americans their same treatment of Afghans and Muslims.

That is the exact reason why many Muslims see Osama bin Laden as a hero.

What about Guantanamo Bay and the terrible torture that happens in it? lots of its inmates turned out to be innocents, so wouldn't beheading American soldiers -and all workers who aid them- be legitimate following your justification for the bombings of WW2?

In other words; the ones the west calls "terrorists" are just a reflection in the mirror of the west's own deeds.

Did you see now how ISIS warriors got born? they were born because the west's foreign policy exist.

Just like "ISIS" bombs the innocents to send a message, so as western countries.
Just like ISIS tortures, western countries torture.

It's a coin with the west's own face printed on the other side, my dear.

Notice: that's neither my law nor how I judge, but I'm trying to open your mind to the world of the west. Indeed ISIS is not Islamic but it's western just like the orcs of WW2

So much equivalency here and i love how you assume ISIS and al-Qaeda would have played nice if we had . Absurd these were ruthless power hungary groups that would have targeted civilians and engaged in torture regardless of what the west did . So this concept that these brutal tactics are our fault is bullshit.Or that our reasons, justification or goals are the same as ours is fucking nonesense .And yes ISIS is Islamic and your still a bigot .

But the thing is that the US and Japan made peace, became allies and same goes with the US and Germany.

While at the same time Sunnis and Shi’a muslims will always hate each other, as long as Islam exists, because they see each other as heretics.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

And the absurd idea were responsible for terrorist groups targeting civilians is just that .

Point is that WinterHold and the whole Muslim world have a great lesson to learn in American - Japanese war: how two warring nations threw away their differences and began a passionate love affair - something that, I am afraid, Muslim denominations will never ever be able to achieve.

War Without Mercy and Fighting to a Finish examine the ferocity of the fighting.
