Not going to swear to it as of yet. but.
I have a couple of neighbors who have loud motorcycles. And every so often they make noise. But just bout a half hour ago it was a fleet, several, as if it were a parade. I wasn't paying attention. Turned out to be about 4 or 5, but still loud. Fine, maybe I cant convince them they are dicks with the noise and the pollution. But these idiots were not even wearing motorcycle helmets in a state that requires them. Also keep in mind I live in an onclaive street, and offshoot, a dead end road. I think these guys were sizing up my street for a drag race  the way they were behaving. Finally some kids on bicycles peddled by and they stopped for now.

"The Fast And The Furious" is a fucking movie, not reality, bike or car. I don't need a bunch of white Rebel Without A Clue morons fucking up my neighborhood.

When on the open road I have to admit that I go faster than necessary (when there's no other traffic around).

Head on out there and fuss at those bikers.

Let us know how that goes.

As for helmets - good luck with that too.  Riders who don't wear helmets see being forced to as a violation of their rights.

I told my husband when he had a Harley that I was glad he drove like a bat out of hell.  He asked why...I told him that since he wouldn't wear a helmet if he wrecked going 140 mph it would kill him and I wouldn't have to deal with him drooling on himself for years.

I love you you know that, but on any public road, or even private road, or highway, speeding is dangerous. I've gotten a few speeding tickets in my life, and that does not include all the other near misses from other drivers on the road.

If private citizens want to legally speed, there are private drag strips they can pay to race with disclosure agreements as to where if they wreck or kill themselves they can sign a waver to where the race track is not liable. Other than that no, don't treat public roads as your personal raceway.

The fact that these morons were not wearing helmets in a state that requires them, and on top of stopping their "test" to see if they could drag race here after kids they did not know on bicycles eventually got them to stop says everything. I only hope these morons don't take it to more public roads. One of these morons is going to leave their kids without a father.

I actually think that bikers who don't wear helmets are bloody idiots. Over here it's required by law.

I get tired of the argument "let those who ride decide" and the excuse that it doesn't affect others.

Except those who have to clean up the mess.

It isn't about "fussing". It is about safety.

I am so sick of "safety" as being viewed as wrong. If safety were always bad, we wouldn't have food inspectors in the restaurants we eat at. Not sure about anyone else reading this, but I am damned sure glad it is required that employees wash their hands before returning to work.

I actually had a rider tell me that if you don’t go over 80kph, you don’t really need a helmet. I suggested he drive a car at that speed and, at an appropriate moment - stick his head out the window to strike a tree. His response was, ‘Cars and bikes are different.’

Some people...

Um no, motorcycle riders like cars have to have insurance, helmet or not, if you wreck sure, they may pay out, helmet or not, but the end result is that everyone's insurance goes up. Insurance is a pool, car and motorcycle or van or truck or 18 wheeler. So even when it is not your fault, lawyers get involved, and even when it is not your fault, if there is a bodily injury, the entire industry raises their rates overall. Insurance isn't about protecting the buyer, no matter the vehicle, insurance to the CEOs and shareholders is about promising you a payout but paying as little to nothing if they can.
