We can agree on that.

Good. The two of you can carpool to the re-education camp.

I wonder if some people really like music or if it just fills time.  Their preferences are so narrow.  I will skip songs I like because I'm burned on them or not in the mood.  I will listen to bad songs because I'm fascinated.  There are many songs on my player I don't like because it's got a shit ton of storage, and I like to party.  I'll filter my answers to unpopular opinions.

The Who - overly dramatic nerd boy rock.  They heavily influenced some of my favorite bands, but I can't take it.  Warren Haynes does a cover of Imminence Front that is fantastic.

Prince - What am I supposed to like here?  This has all been done by better musicians.  My favorite song by Prince is the one Susana Hoffs did.

Motley Crue - Pardon the lack of umlauts.  The good feeling I get from the intro of a song turns to convulsions when the vocals enter.

The Police - Fuck the police.

You're all so negative, fuckin atheists.

The radio is the only way I hear new/different music, granted I think most of it sucks. If the song makes it past the first 15 seconds I'll usually stick thru the song.

What's an MP3 player?
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Sometimes I have music playing in the background but will stop and focus when a song I really like rolls around.  My taste in music is so varied that I can't really say there's a genre I don't like.

Since I am not musically inclined I know there are nuances I miss.  Those things that someone like you can pick up on and understand that I never will.

Remember when I crucial part of listening to music in your car was having a matchbook available to keep the 8-track cartridge steady?  Then we upgraded to a BIC pen to be able to rewind a chewed up cassette.

Hehe

I quit doing that in high school.

If you own an MP3 player you never need listen to crappy music again. Unless you're a passenger in some fossil's car who listens to the radio.

There’s a primal, visceral joy in turning off horrible music.

Sort of in the same way as missing the satisfaction of slamming down the phone receiver.  Poking 'end' just doesn't have the same finality.
