A Different Brand of Idiot

I don't know if we have a unique breed of idiot in this area - or if it's widespread.
Morons in pickup trucks sporting bigassed flags.
Usually an American flag on one side - and either a Marine Corps, Army or Confederate on the other side (the last being a double idiot).
Sometimes you see them on a car - and while also stupid - almost makes you feel sorry for the impotent little bastard. He obviously can't afford a truck.

I can't think of any good reason for these self-styled mono-parades - other than the "look at me, ain't I special" factor.

Must be a USian thing. I’ve seen shirts, hats, bumper stickers, etc with national flags on them, but never what you’re describing.

I have a FB friend who did just that. He bought a huge American flag and a giant pole to fly it with from the bed of his pickup. He is a huge Trump supporter and doesn't engage when I question his lame posts.

There was a BLM rally in our city, and one dork was driving up and back through the biggest intersection with US and USMC flags in the bed of his truck (on poles). The flags were big, like 6 or more feet long. He also had "Murrica!" painted in the back window, as big as the window would allow. I've seen maybe 5 or 6 trucks like that around here. Stupid.

Precisely what I mean. I’m sure the young lady is a shining example of patriotism (and I heartily approve of the way she expresses it), but you have laws against that sort of thing. I find that bizzare.
