A fatality rate between 0.13-0.26% does not warrant blanket lockdowns or mandates.

I wear a mask a heavy portion of my time at work and outside of work when I think it may prove to be beneficial, but I will NOT spend every waking moment outside my home breathing in my body's own waste just because others are hysterical---or are pretending to be. Wink

Has it occurred to you that those lockdowns and mandates helped to produce that fatality rate? Isn't that what Dear Leader has been saying - that there would have been millions of deaths? I doubt that anyone cares whether you wear your mask while you wipe your ass, Athene.

If we don't stop this silly trumpet bullshit about masks and get it together, the plague will be our new normal. Then we will want to wear our masks while we're taking a shit, and in our own homes, and when we lay down to sleep at night. May as well sow it on, and all because dipshits like yourself think that simple public health measures are fertile ground for culture wars.

Did it ever occur to you that the rate was driven lower due to certain governors (including Whitmer) finally being compelled to stop stuffing covid patients in nursing homes?

Yes, this may become endemic or predictably cyclical like influenza. I don't generally wear a mask outside of work during flu season. I keep clean hands, stay home when I'm sick, and on the occasion I feel the urge to cough or sneeze--I do it inside my shirt. Looks weird and may seem gross, but it contains my droplets much better than doing in my hand and proceeding to touch everything.

If you want to wear a mask most every minute of every day of your life---go for it. I would wager that would probably be a detriment to your overall health, but if this one particular virus with a >99.7% recovery rate is the sum of all fucking fears to you, I'm not gonna try and stop you.

But I'm not going to play along.

People die every day, Khem. Heart disease, pnemonia, car accidents, gun shots, TB, cancer, drowning, dice games....flu.

It seems you all are the ones making it overly political by pretending that you're just so consumed with the fear and concern, and trying to shame sane, rational people into going along with the narrative; demanding that people must conform to the same levels of fear and compliance considered reasonable in response to the earliest models.

You all sound desperate and deranged when you talk like this.
It's very disturbing.
