You don't say? Though already having had shingles 20 years ago, I can say this is preferable.
I got the Prevnar13 shot in one arm and the 1st shingles shot in the other arm on the same day a few years ago. I could barely raise either arm for a couple of days. They hurt a metric shit tom less than the shingles, though. It's a good trade.

I wasn't sure what got to me when I had the first shingles shot because I got a flu shot at the same time.
The second shingles shot kicked my ass. It was awful. The woman that usually waits on me at the pharmacy said they hear that a lot...that the second shot is pretty bad.
Got my flu shot a month ago and other than some soreness at the injection site, I really didn't notice any ill effects.

Having a glass of one of my new whiskies in one of the snifters I got for cheap last week. Wild Turkey 101 bourbon. Very nice.

Was gonna talk about the new video about Larry Nassar on Matt Orchard's Jim Can't Swim spinoff, but then, I got a message that Criterion was having a 24-hour flash sale and so I bought two movies I've been really hoping to get for some time, both of which, ironically, are disturbing movies about World War II partisan fighters that happen to be disturbing in very different ways: Come and See and Lacombe Lucien.
EDIT: Crap, I was going to post this in the What's everyone Up To Right Now? Thread and posted it here by mistake!

You're not kidding. I had a relatively mild case of shingles and it was pretty exquisitely awful.

So, last night, I went down and noticed that there was some water in the basement that seems to be related to the bath. Nothing was harmed, but after tests today, it looks like there's a leak in a pipe somewhere. Dad's calling a plumber tomorrow, and he hopes that they can stay in the basement with their fix. If not... well, my bedroom is close to the bathroom and there's a wooden panel in my closet. My bedroom is like Dresden on Valentines' day. And my closet itself is pretty packed. After bathing, I spent about half an hour clearing out a good-sized portion of my closet before Dad told me that there's a good chance that they might not need to do it. Hopefully, they won't. That said, there's a good chance he'll be here in the early morning (well, early for me since I've been sleeping in more often than not in the past couple weeks.) So, here's hoping that they're in and out and fixing the bath before I need to do anything.

If he’s a hot plumber, try getting some pictures of plumber’s crack.
