Just ordered a new pair of tennis shoes with gift cards I got for Christmas. I have been needing a new pair for a while and finally found some I think I will like. ALso ordered a couple new pair of yoga pants because I like the ones I got recently really well and need to replace the ones I have had for nearly 20 years.

Currently watching da Supa special features on da “Who Killed Captain Alex” Blu-Ray, and they even included da IHE review that piqued my interest in da film. HELLO!

Okay, going out of Wakaliwood mode, I managed to do a little playing with my new 10-band EQ pedal. Because my main cigar box guitar uses a piezo pickup, the sound can be kinda shrill and the tone stack on my Vaux can only go so far in taming it, I did some research and found the general areas I needed to focus on. After spending hours trying to approximate the frequencies where they’d be, I figured the 10-band versions would be the best to control it. So, here’s what I’ve settled on:



And, yes, it’s somewhat close to what I expected, even if I boosted 125 Hz band and cut the 2 KHz band a hell of a lot more than I expected to.

Also, this is the first pedal I’ve ever owned that doesn’t even have an internal battery snap. Fortunately, the makers were courteous enough to provide an external cable that allows a battery to plug into the 9 volt input.

Currently drinking some high falutin bourbon my wife gifted me for Xmas. I have a pretty good idea of it's cost and I consider it a welcome extravagance. It also might be the catalyst for a three day bender.

Let's find out.

Considering the cost of 9v batteries a dedicated power supply for for your pedals might make sense. I think I paid $25 for mine and I can run up to ten pedals.

I do have a One Spot 9 volt adapter and a daisy chain, although I rarely use it. If I ever get around to actually performing, I probably should find a proper power box. Looking on Amazon, I'm finding 10-spot models from makes like Flanger, Vitoos, Mimidi (I think I'm transliterating that right), Caline, Otraki, and Gokko before you even reach the $30 mark.
