The first time I was aware that TV remotes existed was when the movie Poltergeist came out.

When you can remember party lines.

I can also remember only having to dial the last four numbers to reach anyone in town...we all had the same first three numbers - 875.

We had to dial 5 numbers....I still remember the number we had when I was a  kid: 2-4889
