Life is awesome - argumentum ad populum
RE: Life is awesome - argumentum ad populum
So you went to a fucking resort and you're telling me who went to college and earned a degree in psychology that I am a deluded bitch....

Writing in journals helps with some things, but it doesn't cure mental illnesses AT ALL. You know nothing, and the more you talk, the more you prove it. People with mental illness can't properly identify their own afflictions. They just fucking can't. That's why they're ill. If you really understood them like you think you do, you would understand that basic concept of medical psychology.

Go to school, move out of mum's house, and for fuck's sake eat some beef.

This method is proven to work, and it will change the way people perceive themselves and others in their lives.

Honestly, you give these people no hope whatsoever.

Are you people even reading my posts?

I guarantee you have a personality disorder which is unresponsive to medications and treatments. It's probably the one I mentioned before. The power of positive thinking is something worth some merit, but it doesn't work for seriously mentally ill people. That's proven by 200 years of psychological research by people who used their money for an education. Get a fucking clue.

They can't identify with their own afflictions, that's right. That's why you have to go through their events and identify the core beliefs that lead to their decisions and which had an impact on their lifestyle. This is what this method does for people...

I don't have any personality disorders whatsoever, this method is based on scientific fact as stated before. With new information comes new understanding, you never learnt this method in college. Why don't you try it out on your clients, the more tools at your disposal the better.

The question is whether you have read my posts. Depression is not the same as other mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia. I already allowed for the fact that in cases of depression an increased level of positivity and exercise can help. You are equating your experience with that of every single other mentally ill person. I wonder how many depressions you sank into over the course of your life and if you realize that with every episode, your chances of having another one exponentially increased. Come back when you are back in the pit of despair. I'm sure you'll be more interesting.

Video games help in curing cancer, it has a lot to do with the mind and what you are doing with your thoughts.

I haven't been depressed, nor anxious since I learnt this method over a year ago. I can identify my inaccurate thinking, I can identify situations which conflict with my beliefs (wrong path) and instead of reacting and causing myself and others pain, I simply observe the emotions and bodily sensations that I'm experiencing.

My clients are young women in search of guidance through decision making because they're pregnant. Something of which I'm positive you know nothing about.

Wait, you think video games can help cure cancer?

A one year stint without depression is not a cure. I sincerely hope that, if you are being sincere, you do not sink back into a depression. However, I would warn you against the mistake of believing one year means depression is cured. A tragedy, stress, illness, etc. could easily make you depressed again and you may find that your manner of thinking had fuck all to do with it. It could be the hormonal changes that come with becoming an adult. It could have been the stimulation you derived from being part of your little seminars. It could have been a number of things -- including your way of thinking. However, having the audacity to assume that your pet project will work for anyone shows that you have little to no life experience. If you think identifying negative thinking is going to stop a person in the grip of psychosis, you are as fucking deluded as a Christian who thinks her baby is possessed.

I just explained the whole thought process behind what causes stress, depression and anxiety. If tragedy were to strike, I'd be doing wrong path, I'd be doing missing out, I'd be doing should've/could've, I'd start to feel worth less. But life is a journey, you're always learning and receiving, you only know what you know and your self-worth can never be compromised. It's only when you perpetuate egotistical thinking, start to compare yourself with others (self-esteem) that you lapse into states of psychological stress. I'm sorry, but none of what I've stated is dogma.

You're brainwashed, which may be a good thing in your case, but it doesn't work for everyone. The flaw in your thinking is that you think human experience is one size fits all. You're wrong.

Again, do you think video games can cure cancer?

From the age of 0-7 your brain is like a sponge and absorb all the knowledge from your environment, from then on your ability to learn slowly diminishes over your lifetime. These make up your beliefs.
....

(1) Should've/Could've

Wrong Path

You did/thought felt the wrong things to cause your symptoms.

(2) Evidence Based Medicine

Right path.

Recognizing that the brain as the most complex single object in existence can malfunction in many ways, some which can be cured or helped by lifestyle changes, some of which cannot.

Btw, I have schizo-affective disorder and I suspect I know a good deal more about this than you. But three questions:

1) When I feel the radio is sending me messages, do you believe that non-pharmacological treatments can eliminate this symptom?

2) What is the mechanism involved and how do your treatments impact this mechanism -- specifics, please.

2) what scientific studies demonstrate this to be true?
