Tell anyone here it's a small city and we'd just be surprised that some people think it's a city. And, oddly, until fairly recently, I didn't even know Compton was actually a city. I thought it was just another part of L.A., like Watts or Van Nuys.

Compton is an unincorporated portion of the greater Los Angeles area. Corruption is de riguer with the politicos. Even the police department was disbanded, and the LA Sheriff's Department took over enforcement activities. Corruption still seems to be business as usual.
