I am fucking furious with the GOP and the former guy over shit like this. Why don't we just get rid of seat belts and traffic lights too.
I remembered finding out about a man (I think he was a college student in some Midwestern state) who actually fought to get seat belt laws repealed. I found out about him when he died in a car crash. And if he was wearing a seatbelt, he probably would have survived. While I didn’t find that article, while looking for it, I did find that even today, there are still people who are trying to do exactly that, and one bill even went through the State House in North Dakota a few months ago.

Ah so because you do something that somehow makes it adult. There is lovely circular logic.

Yeah but Joe Actually deserves to be addressed as such for not being an irredeemable orange rug stain.

There are bad presidents and there are criminal presidents, the one's who grossly abuse their power. In my lifetime there have only been two who so abused their power that I won't dignify them with any sort of station, office or even Mr., and those are Nixon and Trump. Both men were essentially criminals against the state and neither got their due justice. Both should have been hanged. All other presidents in the last half century made good and bad decisions, had good and bad (sometimes terrible) policies. Some embarrassed themselves, but didn't assault the constitution. It's a difficult job for sure and few people are up to the task. But the single thing anyone who serves should never, ever do is what Trump did. No matter what, you don't try to usurp power.

Here I am, a grown man with a wife, a house, a credit rating, bank accounts, - everything that's supposed to signify 'adult' - and this headline made me laugh like I was ten years old.

Report: Iranian nuclear scientist slain with Israeli remote-control gun
Iran's top nuclear scientist was assassinated by Israel's national intelligence agency using a high-tech remote-controlled machine gun, according to a report published Saturday in The New York Times.
Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was shot on Nov. 27, 2020, while driving his Nissan Teana between a vacation home on the Caspian Sea and a country house and the town of Absard, where he planned to spend the weekend with his wife, according to the report.
Iranian agents working for Israel had parked a blue Nissan Zamyad pickup truck on the side of the road with a 7.62-mm sniper machine gun hidden among decoy construction materials.
An assassin with the Mossad, Israel's intelligence agency, fired the gun at Fakhrizadeh. The assassin was more than 1,000 miles away using an advanced robot to operate the weapon that was smuggled into the country in small pieces.
