As a craft girl we need that. We just do.

I tend to get squirrely if there's stuff all over the house, so I have the spare room Domain of Extreme Peril on the second floor.  Currently it contains the sewing corner, a brad nailer, a large pail of drywall mud, a box of flooring, my electronics spare parts box, boxes of old tax returns, the off-season clothing, a framed print in search of a wall, my flatbed scanner, and assorted "just in case" items.

In the early 90's I gave away my beautiful, tailored brown sued leather coat. Had it made in Singapore in 1970.  Still in beautiful condition. I gave it to a young guy at work because  he said he would wear it. He was thrilled with it and wore it often.

I not only still have this coat from 1977, but this is pretty much a picture of me wearing it, though slightly taller but no heavier than Topher at the time.

That's almost but not quite as bad the heavy knitted jackets made popular by Starsky and Hutch. My wife knitted one for me, even had a knitted belt  which one tied. I think I wore it twice.  Herself unpicked it and knitted me two jumpers (sweaters)

Over the last few years, my house has slowly gone from minimalist to cluttered- heading- towards- hoarding. Doesn't bother me as much as it used to.
