As a Star Trek fan, I remember her as a ship crew member who was one of two people who gained god-like mental powers after passing through an unknown energy field at the edge of the galaxy. It was the show's second pilot episode and was titled, "Where No Man Has Gone Before."
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
